Hi.
I have recently downloaded Mass Effect 2 for PC from the EA store and decided to purchase and download all DLC. All DLC installed correctly so I started playing. When I arrived at Omega I noticed Zaeed was missing. I returned to the Normandy and looked at my private terminal to see if I had any messages, but the messages starting the Zaeed, Overlord and Normandy Crash DLC were missing.
After looking through the forums I found the list of DLC folders at http://social.biowar.../index/4968371. The folders for the Zaeed, Overlord and Normandy Crash DLC were missing. I tried reinstalling them and found that they were all installing to DLC_HEN_MT.
Has anyone got any suggestions to fix this?

You could always try to manually put them in the right folder but I don't know if that would change anything or you could download them again in case you got a corrupted installation file. Otherwise I'm out of ideas, as long as you have the latest patch installed, sorry.

I've only tried to redownload Zaeed so far and have changed the name of the existing DLC_HEN_MT folder, installed Zaeed, changed the new DLC_HEN_MT folder to DLC_HEN_VT and changed the first folder back to DLC_HEN_MT. The Kasumi DLC still works but still nothing for Zaeed. I'll delete the downladed DLC installers and put them to download overnight before trying again tomorrow.
I had a similar problem with Dragon Age Origins DLC before and fixed it this way but with Mass Effect 2 it doesn't seem to work. I have also been looking in other forums for help and most suggestions seem to be checking the registered content. All the DLC is registered to my account and I am using the correct account to sign in.
I'm using the EA downloader (or origin as it's called now) so as far as I know I have the latest patch installed. The problem seems to be with the installers themselves, not my Mass Effect 2 install.
Another thing I've noticed is when using the Zaeed installer, not only is the output file DLC_HEN_MT, but there are files with Kasumi in the file name being installed. I have checked to see if these are overwriting any existing files yet. I have checked the file sizes to see if the installers are the same under different names but they are are different so I don't know what could be wrong.

Sorry for double posting but I just checked and the size of the DLC_HEN_MT folder is 1.07GB which seems about right so I think each installer is just overwriting the existing files. The installer sizes are:
ME2_Kasumi 1,014,787 KB
ME2_NormandyCrash 63.583 KB
ME2_Overlord 1,072,792 KB
ME2_Zaeed 510,434 KB
ME2_Kasumi 1,014,787 KB
ME2_NormandyCrash 63.583 KB
ME2_Overlord 1,072,792 KB
ME2_Zaeed 510,434 KB

Delete your browser cache before redownloading the files. Also, make sure you run the DLC installers with admin privilages.
I dont know if EADM/Origin automatically gives you the latest version with patches, best bet is to fire up the configuration utility, and check under the game tab to ensure your masseffect.exe version number is 1.02. If it isnt, download the 1.02 patch and install it before installing the DLC.

I remember someone else had this same problem. I don't remember any fix to that being found, though presumably there must be one: there has to be a "temporary" cache somewhere that the files are unpacked to, that is somehow getting not-so-temporarily clogged up with the Kasumi DLC so that it then gets installed over and over again.
If you're lucky, maybe this cache is stored unpacked, in which case you could probably find it by searching for one of the file names from the successfully installed Kasumi folder. If you're not lucky, I suppose you'd just have to search by hand through some of Window's temporary folders for anything relating to ME2, EA, etc.
(And if you're really lucky, maybe re-downloading will indeed help. But since this is happening to more than one of them, that means more than one somehow got corrupted in the same way - unlikely.)
In the other poster's case, I think they used the workaround of installing them all manually. (See the FAQ for some links on the subject; basically, you can use an archiving program, e.g. 7-Zip, to open up the installers and extract the DLC files yourself.) You could probably do that too if you can't get the executables working.

Fixed! Thanks for the help everyone. I tried all the suggestions and it just happened to be the last one that worked. I found a link to the Universal Extractor in the FAQs. I wouldn't have thought of trying a manual install because I didn't think that was the problem.
