We aren't arguing over the cost/execution of the CE, but rather the absence of the Bioware employee hyped uber CE.

Besides, many games these days have three copies of their game - Regular, collector and uber edition(s) - it seems odd that Bioware, who for their past 5 games (and most likely ME3), refuse to reward their loyal fans with special copies of their games when most significant developers these days regularly include such a choice.

Not trying to argue but fans are loyal due to the quality of a game not what's included. If ME 1 was released with Sheps dogtags at launch for an additional 15.00 dollars, would early gamers pay that not even knowing what the game was about? Let's jump to ME 2. When I preordered, I recieved the Cerberus network with Zaeed it was worth it. I understand the concept of getting more with the final chapter but to be honest, it has to be something practical for me. The night vision goggles from the MW PE was given to my nephew as I had no use to keep them in my attic. I ordered this about 4 months ago.(http://store.qmxonli...plica_p_75.html) So I understand collectable items. For a game though, if anything I'd rather have a Uber edition filled with unattainable content that expands the game itself other than an item that becomes an expensive paperweight.

But even that wouldn't be totally fair since all those who play should have access to it. Now being able to download EDI to a portable VI when I'm off the Normandy would be nice if it was exclusive. Like I said, personally if exclusive content was released with a Uber I'd support it 100% but if just comes down to trinkets that would be forgotten in a few months then no.

True, but this is a bit different as it is the final game in a trilogy - there will never be another adventure starring Shepard again. Why skimp out on offering fans, regardless of loyalty, a chance to purchase a memorable copy of a momorable series?

Fine, thats your opinion, but wouldn't you at least want the option to say no to such additional items that may/may not appear in an uber edition? Right now you don't even have the ability to make such a choice.

bioware what do your faithfull fans mean to you. if you care even a little bit for them then you should listen to them. we deserve an ultra uber collectors edition because we care deeply about this great trilogy and ignoring your fans is not the way to end an epic era.

A lot of the fans have pumped so much into this fandom. The memes, the fanart, the discussions, etc... it'd be a crying shame if EA didn't take this opportunity to close off the series with a bang. Hell, just order another series of models from that company that's doing the Normandy model for ME3.

Include it with
- a model of the Normandy,
- a GALAXY MAP POSTER,
- a FEMSHEP/MALESHEP POSTER,
- Making-of DVD,
- Development notes, extra character notes, storyboards, scripts of an important scene, etc.,
- Two more lithographs of the Citadel and Vancouver,
- A charred, scorched N7 glove,
- A 15-minute episodic skit episode made by Robot Chicken (maybe not feasible, though)
- Signatures from the cast and written comments by returning voice actors, all on a big poster of the Normandy flying across an alien horizon.
- A Garrus eyepiece <<<<< THIS I would buy.

I'm actually very surprised that they cancelled it. But yeah...

COUNT ME IN, JAVIER!!

My issue so far with this edition is three fold.

1. Since I am a crazy, filthy, stinking techie, I want the digital deluxe edition. We are getting less stuff for the same price, and a feature was removed recently which REALLY made it a sure sale for me, namely the DLC squad mate.

2. All of the N7 gear is just reskinned DLC weapons from ME2. Unless they do something special that the others do not, it's a massive waste since many of them are going to make an appearance in the game anyway.

3. The Fenrir mech is nice, but it doesn't do anything but take up space in your quarters. It's nice that we have our very own Fido, but I don't think it's worth the 80 buck price tag.

This was pulled now? Link?

Totally agreed here. Those "N7" guns are going to be a total waste if they don't function differently from the existing weapons. And if they function exactly the same, but just are more damaging, they'll be totally worthless.

The fenris mech is nice, but I mean, really? A fenris mech? Of all the things we fans have gotten attached to in Mass Effect, why a fenris mech? (I did never understand their implementation in the first place ; Robo guard dog?)

Why not a pyjack, or hell, WHY NOT THE Shifty looking Cow? Why not something that has more emotional connection to the fans?

It wasn't pulled, Javi.

Chris said that the Squadmate thing was an accident and had to be omitted.

Sounded A LOT like the whole, "Kasumi doesn't exist" thing that went on ages ago.

Don't worry about it. It'll come.

Because ME1 was a bad dream that never happened, and Bioware wants you to forget.

Well I actually like that it was pulled. 1 less DLC Squaddie means 1 less Squaddie with lesser dialog options. Anyhow, do you have a link to his post?

I remember it mentioning an N7 hoodie at first. I don't see it on any website. Did they pull that?

I'll be back with that unless someone else conveniently nabs it before I do.

I am kind of upset there isn't a Uber Collectors Edition. I was more then willing to throw down an extra expense for whatever little bit of extra content they sent it out with.

Maybe a foldable N-7 Predator Pistol?

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition for now, but gosh, I was expecting more. If an Uber edition ever comes out, I would gladly drop all the moneys for it. I made many posts for what I thought should be in there, and I have to say, I am a tad bit disappointed. I am praying for another edition to be announced, and rest assured, I will pay for it.

I think having multiple collectors editions is foolish the uber version would just devalue the middle ranked version of the game and actually ends up making it look pointless seeing as its less 'collectable' than the uber but still noticeably more expensive than the original. Either stick with the current version or upgrade it but don't release a whole-nother version of the game.

personally i would rather see a trilogy pack of all three with a crap loads of extras get released some time after me3 that way it could include all dlcs as well.

Its called uber for a reason you know; only the most die-hard, obsessed fans will even contemplate purchasing it. Did CoD's nightvision googles demean the collectible items featured in the CE of the game? No, it just made you look like a stalker. :P

PS - lulz at the failed HTML coding.

Well, right now there is false advertizing going on, and I won't drop a dime for it until it is corrected.

I was really hoping they would have a huge end-of-trilogy Uber edition. I had even set aside 150$ for it and stashed it inside ME2 so I wouldn't spend it on something else unless it was an emergency. It's pretty disappointing. I'm still getting the CE, but I had spent a good bit of time wondering what awesome item would come with it. I had even gotten several of my friends looking forward to the reveal.

So what is it that prevents Bioware from doing something big for ME3? And why can't they discuss it? There's definatly a market for an Uber CE, so it can't be that. We don't even get a statue of a character, like 80% of other games CE's do. Most of this is just DLC stuff, which is very hard to get really excited over.

Do we also get a signed contract from EA/Bioware heads that whatever exclisive content comes with that version, will remain exclusive to that version, or will they pull the same as ME2, and start giving it away in the normal editions for other platforms to boost sales?

No problem. I just find it hard that Bioware, a company funded by the bloated EA, cannot acquire the necessary resources required to put together a unique edition of one of their most critically acclaimed games.

Mass Effect 3 deserves better; especially considering the fact that Dead Space 2 of all things received an uber edition.

I'm fine with what we got here. This is my first time being able to actually AFFORD a CE edition for ANY game. Anything they could put in a Uber edition they can put in the CE. I want the cool stuff, too, but I want to be able to AFFORD it. I don't want to pay $150. Actually, I CANNOT pay $150.

I never got quite why the Collector Armor was released as DLC, when it was promised not to be.
