I can get it to load disk one but the 2nd disk is not working. is there somwhere I can just download it from the site since I already have it registered with my CD key and would like to be able to start playing tonight?

It use to be called the EA Download Manager... this week it changed its name to "Origin".

any place I could use my CD key and the fact that i registered it to download it for free (have not been able to figure out how to do that on the Orgin site

Download the Origin program and install it. Log in using your EA account (the same one you use to log in here). After log in, there is a little button that looks like a gear on the top right just to the left of your account email. Click that and there is an option to redeem game code or something similar. Enter your CD key there and the game will come up as available for download under the "My Games" tab on the top left. It's a cool feature, but one they don't exactly advertise.
