Look at the gameplay trailer, you clearly see Shepard looking on in the normandy hanger when two blue shuttles blow up. On this one you literly have to put two and two together. Not to mention this would be the most anticlimatic death ever.
The rules of this medium state if u don't see a body or see them die then they are not dead.

During the Q & A demo (might be able to hear this on other videos) when Anderson calls the Normandy, Ashley responds and calls him Admiral. The only Admiral I know in ME is Hackett.

Anderson makes Admiral, if you pick Udina for Councillor, and I think he might be Admiral Anderson in the last ME novel. (:

Just because you don't see Anderson climb into the Normandy doesn't mean he's dead.

...and it doesn't prove he's alive either. I'm going to wait and see.

At the demo shown at 9am PST today, I'm pretty sure I saw an alliance shuttle pull up by the Normandy. Shepard is probably responding to Anderson's wish to stay on the planet/do something else alliance related. Even if this footage wasn't seen, I think the OP and anyone else would have to be seriously smoking something to believe they would kill Anderson right off at the beginning of the game.

The screenshot of Anderson is on pre-Reaper Earth (judging by the architecture), which isn't helpful.
