Yeah Tom Clancy's End War was the same in "Voice Recognition". Although its not just basic commands. Its used for the dialog part in Mass Effect 3 aswell.

My only problem is my Scottish accent.

End War was surprisingly good I thought, given the time it was released. Though you had to speak rather clearly... Voice Recognition software has come a LONG way in just the past two or three years. Having tinkered with some of the Kinect voice recognition in other areas of the xbox (mainly the homescreen or w/e its called) it has been pretty good at recognizing what I say even when I try to use funny accents. So I'd imagine that if you were to yell at it in the heat of battle it would still be pretty darn good at figuring out what you want done.

And as long as Kinect continues to clearly understand the orders I give it, I won't complain.

God, I await the day I can say, "Xbox. Make me a sandwich" and have Kinect actually heed my call.

Tom Clancy's End War was quite bad with accents from what I remember. If other Kinect applications can understand your accent you should be fine.
