So why do I need a CE?

Normally I'd agree with you, but this CE seems pretty epic. I mean, you get a robo-dog! Also, I'm a HUGE hoodie fan, so I'm glad Shep will get to wear one in-game with the CE.

I'm one of the biggest Mass Effect fans amongst my friends. I absolutely adore Mass Effect and everything to do with it. It's not just the desire to collect everything Mass Effect (I don't have any clothes or action figures) but the games are the biggest part of the franchise and I want to exploit every single part of them. I made the mistake of not pre-ordering the collector's edition with ME2 soon enough and I'll be damned if I don't pre-order this version now before I lose the chance.
The items, attires, in-game extras including a new mission and squad mate and such are things I can't simply ignore. I want to play the game to its maximum potential and I see this edition as the best way to get there.
The additional stuff are just bonuses to have.

Dog, character, cosmetic items in-game. The rest of the stuff I don't give a tuss about.

I buy lots of Collector's Editions. I have the CE for ME2 so why not ME3? As far as reasoning goes? I like having the deluxe versions of things I guess. I buy hardcover books over paperbacks for the same reason. And the covers of CE games are always better.

The same reason anyone buys a collectors edition to get extra crap. What a stupid thread.

Mass Effect is probably my favourite series of all time but I never really quite got why should I pay additional 20 dollars for a few side things that will have little to no impact on the game itself
For those of you who did Buy it, why did you do so?
Because I want it.

Shepard gets a hoodie. I don't need any other reason.

Why an N7 patch? What am I gonna do with that?
I'd rather have an N7 t-shirt.

Because if I'm going to spend a large chunk of my time playing a game, I want to play the best version of that game.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's total BS that Bioware is tacking on 20 bucks for a bunch of crap that should have just been included with the base game (talking about the ingame items) - but if I'm gonna spend 40+ hours on a game, then I want it to be the complete version.
