2 days ago I finished my replay of Dragon Age Origins/Awakening after losing my previous save. I am still slightly bitter that I was unable to backup my original 65+ hr save. I am still hopeful that this will get fixed with a patch.
Dead Nation put out a patch yesterday to allow their games saves to be backedup, it really blows my mind that Bioware haven't done the same after all this time. It's such a shame that they locked these saves, please Bioware, let us backup our Dragon Age saves!
Plz remove the game save copy protection

A quick update on this issue, well a work around maybe.
Sony have just launched Cloud saving for Plus members and this allows copy protected save data to be uploaded. it also allows download so technically you could upload a save to the cloud, delete it off your PS3 to make room for another character and then re-download it at a later date.
i have asked a Sony MOD on the UK forums to check into this as the 10 character limit may also cause issues with teh game starting when it checks the save data file.

Yeah, when I heard about the new PS3 patch I was so happy! As a plus member I can testify that plus membership is well worth it, but adding in clour based saves makes it a must now

I would like to do this since my old model is going through problems and I need to fix it. Which means i need to reformat my hard drive to see if it works, I would like to transfer my saves as I hate having to go back and get all of those dang specializations and I am quite attached to my past characters. So Bioware please do this most of us are hard pressed economically to REPURCHASE all of the DLC's and the signature edition dlc i got with DA2.

Oh now I get it, with playstation plus membership, you can save game files and use that to transfer between PS3's.... so instead of removing the copy-right on game saves like other companies do, you can convince more people for paying for something they should already be allowed to have anyway.....
