That's a shame. He was a decent pullbot/tank and his Squad Incendiary Ammo came in handy. In terms of gameplay, I rather liked him.  And his personality wasn't ridiculously messed up like a lot of the squadmates'; he seemed like a guy with whom it'd be fun to have a beer.

I loved Jacob, he was the only level headed not crazy person on the Normandy at times. He was a true bro.

I hope he is a squadie and not just a cameo.

Poor Jacob, always getting a bad rap. He had a decent intro and loyalty mission. If only the writers had spent some time fleshing out his character (and gave him a decent game). Hopefully, ME3 will give him the much needed char development he deserves.

I liked Jacob. Had a total bromance with him. I just didnt take him anywhere because he was totally useless in a fight.

Of course he should be there, even if only as a temporary squad member - in the interest of fairness.

Having said that, I hope that the squad structure and dynamics is heavily dictated by the plot, rather than fan appeal.
