and geth/quarian.
Ok, that´s nice but what about the batarians?
They have a lot of unused potential.
Yes the batarian husks named Cannibals are awesome but is that all?
By the way what about a batarian squadie?
That would be awesome too.

One thing is certain. I definitely do not want a Batarian squad mate. They all look exactly the same.

Bioware so far tried to show different personalities for every species. Only the batarians are pretty similar so far. There is one that can be nicer if you save his life (Mordin's recruitment), and some who is even more bat**** insane than the others (especially Balak), but they all are pricks so far. I think we should see another side of them in ME3.
This is true. Bioware has made it seem like they're all pricks but according to a codex(or some place in ME2, don't remember) the only batarians that leave batarian space are criminals which don't accurately represent the average batarian citizen. With that said, even if we did find a batarian that wasn't a jackass we would still have that small little problem of differentiating him from every other batarian we've ever seen. Unless it was a female, which could be interesting, doubt this will happen though(Would probably end up looking exactly the same as every other batarian female).

What is the most likely class for a batarian squadie?
Sniper, soldier or vanguard?

Judging by all those batarian mutant mooks they are probably getting their asses handed to them just like Earth. Maybe worst if the reapers don't want to make a new reaper out of them. The Reapers arrived in their territory first, right?

Oh is that so? I don't really pay too much attention to the codex so I didn't know. Even so, doesn't mean they're evil. One could say slavery was an economic staple of the U.S.(atleast in the south) just 150 years ago. Doesn't mean they were evil.

I suppose so, the Ancient Greeks had slaves/servants also but treated them well (except Sparta).Flashlegend wrote...

But since you don't read the CoDeX, you should know that Batarians abduct slaves by raiding and pillaging colonies and ships and placing them in cages. Then, drill and implant control chips into their heads without anaesthetic. Note that the Batarian Hegemony supports this. You could argue that the general population themselves are brainwashed with propoganda, but we'll just have to wait and see about that.

Fixed. It's unlikely that the entire race benefit from the slave trade. The batarians live under a harsh caste system where the majority of people are oppressed by surveillance and fed propaganda while living their miserable lives in poverty. It is likely the upper caste minority and the government itself that keeps the slaves, not the everyday lower caste batarians.

I don´t know but the reapers can´t kill them all. A survivor who wants justice can join Shepard
because my enemy´s enemy is my friend.
