This is the way of DLCs. Fallout 3 is considered to have some of the best DLC support ever known. If you don't like those, I suppose it just means you really don't like DLCs in general. In that case you should go around yelling for "No DLC, make expansion packs" rather than encouraging Bioware making better DLCs.

Actually Stone Prisoner had a higher value (for the theoretical amount of money), than Warden's Keep. I liked both, but agree, that Warden's Keep could have used a little more content and polish. I didn't find all history clues before ending the main quest. Now the doors are closed and the quest unfinished and impossible to complete. I also hope, that I hear something in the future from the one I let live...

That doesn't excuse you from buying a game used.

You got the perfect punishment for commiting such an attrocity.

I hope you wallow in your squandered 22 dollars for much time to come.

What's with all the hostility you're expressing towards used game buyers?  I realize that money doesn't directly go to support Bioware in a used game transaction, but that doesn't make it somehow illegitimate.  When I sell a book at a garage sale or a piece of clothing at a used clothes store, none of that money goes back to the original producer of the item being sold.  That doesn't matter; it's mine and I paid for it, and after purchasing it I have every right to do with it as I see fit, including selling it.  Are you against those sorts of sales too - should garage sales and thrift stores be outlawed?  Then it seems like the concept of personal ownership is a farce.  And if not, why the apparent hypocrisy?

Ooooooo he might have bought it used, oh no. How about you all stop being douche bags. It's his money to spend how he wants. Buying something used doesn't nullify him from an opinion that the content he paid for is bad. Maybe that was the reason it was free to begin with with the purchase of the retail copy. Wouldn't surprise me.

I think people are curious how you spent over 20 bucks on DLC when Warden's Keep only costs 7?

because shockingly there are other countries on the planet Earth other than the USA and there is something called exchange rate

Because when you buy a game you don;t buy the software. You buy the license to use that software. And as far as i know selling licenses is illegal. Do you sell your medical license?

The hypocrisy is that those who bought the game used after only a month, complain that they have to pay extra to get everything the original buyer got.

If I buy a used car I won't complain to the manufacturer that ex factory new tires were included while I had to buy them.

@Elanareon

...Really? I think you are confusing physical merchandise with download-only media. This is a single player game, you have a physical disk, it is yours to resell if you choose. It is cloud based media (Steam) where you don't actually own the software.

@J.O.G

Please point out to me where the OP was complaining because he had to pay extra to get everything that the original buyer got?

What is with these forums? Do people even comprehend anything here?

Wasn't really talking about the DLC, just the unwarranted hostility being expressed towards used game buyers.

But since you mention it, wouldn't a more appropriate analogy be that the manufacturer includes some clause in the purchasing contract that if you sell the car, you cannot sell the back seating along with it?  (i.e. in the analogy, a used buyer is deprived of a non-vital but fairly substantial part of the original purchase not because of wear over time - which might be more analogous to the risk that a used disc might be scratched - but because the manufacturer's policy is such that the entire product is not yours to sell)

I thought Fallout 3 had some weak DLC's, but the two available for this game make them look epic in proportion.  I cannot recall the last time I felt such a sense of having wasted my money.  Paying a total of 20+$, I expected more than this.  Simple dungeons that can be completed in about an hour is not going to cut it.

Design your own then

yeah, i'll get right on learning C++ and spending countless hours to learn buggy software so I can make additional content for myself. Oh wait, I can buy another game and get instant gratification instead. Cool. This argument does not work. The toolset is clearly for hardcore modders only. There is some truth to the DLC, particularily warden's keep - so laughably short and the payoff is a stash that is so far away from where i'm normally at on the map i never bothered with it much. Oh, and the ridiculously powerful wardens armor that makes all the other armors garbage in comparison (cept blood dragon maybe). I'm also very dissapointed that the choice you have to make on who to support - whats the point of that? it simply doesn't matter at all.  and when all is said and done, you don't even own the keep you just get the front yard lol

Even with the exchange rate difference and the fees banks charge to convert currency you shouldn't get to $20 for warden's keep.

Personally it worked out at about $10 with having to convert to Rands and the 2% handling fee my bank charges.

There are enough of these threads floating around, all discussing the same things about the DLC. Use this one for now, or the stickied announcement on the Return to Ostagar DLC for questions about it. This one gets locked.
