That price is beyond ridiculous. I like having a physical copy of the games I buy and want all the in-game content available but apparently I have to pay more than double the price to get all that content. Even if I wanted the art book etc I'd still think it was over-priced. Not to mention that the 'additional content' is obviously just part of the original game held ransom, considering there are eight/nine months left before release.

Sure, I could wait a few weeks or months to see if the price drops but by then chances are the CE will be sold out. Either way I'm being ****ed over in some sense.

Is England even getting the physical extras (metal case etc)? As I recall the DA:O CE was a GAME exclusive and didnt come with a special case or a cloth map. It was about £20 extra for the three in-game items solely, which I was fool enough to pay.

*Cries* You had to remind me of the DA:O CE didn't you... :-( yes we were heavily shafted in the UK for that no cloth map or tin and paid the extra just for some useless extra ingame items :-(

But when it came to the ME games I am sure USA and UK got the same stuff so hoping that ME3 DOES go down in price and that we DO get the same stuff as the USA.

I paid £69.99 for the special "codex edition" of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, and felt that that was much better suited to that price tag. It came in this big specially designed case, called a "collector's chest" with this beautifully made book and DVD's, soundtrack, additional content etc. It may not have been worth an extra £30, but it seems much more worthy of the price tag than ME3's CE. As far as I'm aware ME2's CE was £55 and doesn't have that much less stuff in it than ME3's, yet it costs £15 less. If it contained more physical items like the art book or the lithograph I'd be more than happy to pay the price but I really can't stand paying extra money for in-game content which could just as easily be given to us for free already on the disk. It's a shame as I own the Collector's Edition for both ME1 and ME2 and would love to complete the set, but it just seems too expensive. I'm just waiting to see if it appears on Play or Amazon for cheaper.

You ain't seen nothing yet.

ME3 N7 Collector's Edition is $169.95 in New Zealand. Currently $143.76 US dollars.

So. $60 US more, or the price of a whole second brand new game. Totally flippin' ridiculous.

If the game is region free it might be best to import it GaDaffy Duck as that is insanely a lot of money!

Limited edition Mass Effect comic by Dark Horse Comics
    Fabric N7 patch.
Exclusive 4x6 lithographic print of the SR-2 Alliance Normandy
    Additional in-game content including
     - N7 Arsenal Pack - Bring the firepower with the N7 Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, SMG, and Pistol.
     -Squad alternate appearance pack
     - Robotic Dog for on board the Normandy
    Mass Effect 3 digital soundtrack.

Wait, what happened to the ADDITIONAL MISSION AND CHARACTER that is advertised some places? I noticed that some sites leave that part out of the in-game content! It better be included with the edition on Game.co.uk!

Also are they talking about the entire sountrack? Because that would be pretty awesome! Granted i would've prefered a physical copy but whatever, its fine. What about the comic? Is it just a short preview like the one you got with Mass Effect 2?

Image IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPB....And i completely agree that £70 is totally outrageous! Way too expensive compared to ME 2 Collectors Edition and the standard ME3 release! The fact that ONLY Game.co.uk carries it is bull**** too! You need to step up, Amazon.uk!!

However, since it is Mass Effect and i also got the other games in their "Collector Edition-form", i guess it's only fitting that i get this one as well.... Sigh....

Bad King, don't forget we are paying a rate of 20% VAT now...that's 20 pence every pound..It darn well makes a difference,

game costs 50 pounds, the VAT is 10 pounds.

Final Australian prices look to be (from EB games)
$88 PC standard
$108 PC collectors
$108 consoles stardard
$128 consoles collectors

As usual, we're being ripped off, and charged far more than US consumers, despite the Australian dollar now being worth more than the US dollar.

If ME3 does a DA2 (please god don't let this happen) you'll be able to pick the game up for £9.99 off amazon.co.uk 2 months after release (i did anyway).

Even when you add in buying the DLC seperately thats still like £14 so its one hell of a saving.

I made a thread regarding exclusivity (and by consequence the price) after realising the price of ME3 CE at game and looking elsewhere, and it appears not just to be the UK that seems to, at least for the time being, to have exclusive one-retailer arrangements,

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/7928345/1#7928720

Unfortunately, the SWTOR CE is 130 and it looks like it too is exclusive to Game

So, Game.co.uk changed the layout and also changed my shipping method to free UK delivery, and I've contacted them several times to change this, since I've never found a way to change the shipping method, but to no avail, not a single answer. Anyone had the same problem?

Edit:
Before someone says that I should cancel and order again, the thing is that I ordered the PC version when it was only £60, instead of the £70 now, and I don't want to lose that price.

My delivery charge has been £0.00 and I had it on order since 09/06/2011, so I don't think its too recent.

What Shipping method have you selected? All UK orders are free unless you opt for an express order which is always £4.95.

I had the normal shipping, of £2.94. Because I don't live in the UK, so it's impossible to use the free delivery one.

I know, it's just annoying that they changed it and they have no option whatsoever to change it back. I'm dependent on them and afraid they won't fix this and blame me for it afterwards. I have to keep annoying the hell out of them, I'm afraid. Thanks.

Yeah, well I put down deposits for the both the PS3 and 360 versions of the N7 Version of ME3 last week at GAME in Ireland and I was told each copy would set me back more or less €85.00.

I thought it was a bit steep myself but noone is forcing me to get the Collectors Edition of ME3 ( let alone 2 copies of the exact same game for 2 different systems ), I know what I'm spending my money on and I'm hoping that Bioware will deliver everything that they promised with ME3 and I can think of no better way the to celebrate the end of this unique trilogy than to buy the Collectors Edition of ME3.

O_o 69,90 € here in Finland for PC version. Still, way too much compared to £27.99 for standard edition from Amazon UK.

www.gram.pl is a Polish shop, generally 35 is an average price in Poland, I have not seen a price for CE higher than 40

Although I must warn you first, Poland and some other eastern european countries are in a disadvantage in soma cases - let me explain.

Sure, you'd be able to install the game full english but you may not be able to install some DLC at first. For example officially Arrival is not available for Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and some other country. Oficially, coz' hapilly players found a way to install them. So at first you might not be able to install the newest DLCs but than most probably you'll be able to.

I think it all comes down to what you are getting for your money.

I bought the Collectors Edition of ME2 ( brand new ) for €45.00 at Gamestop. Most other retailers where selling the normal version of ME2 for that price ( including Gamestop ) so I got a CE for the same price as a standard game. I went home feeling like I got a bargain.

I can't remember how much I spent on the Limited Edition of Halo Reach but I feel that it was money well spent. I love Dr. Halsey's journal, it is probably one of the most clever things I have ever got in a CE/Limited Edition game.

I bought the Collector's Edition of Batman: Arkham City Yesterday and I spent €79.99 on that and so far I am very impressed with the overall product. Great game, art book, dvd movie, figurine and DLC.

On the other hand I have been disappointed by some other CE/Limited Edition games. The Fable 3 one was very disappointing even though I do get a lot of use out of it's exclusive in game content. The novelty of the Gears of War 3 Limited Edition wore off very fast and now I not sure why I shelled out the extra cash on the Limited Edition.

I'm on the fence about the ME3 Collectors Edition ( even though I have already put down my deposits ). I like art books and if the collection is substantial enough I will get plenty of use out of that. If the N7 weapons are half as useful as the ones in the ME2 Fire power pack then I will probably be using those weapons a lot. I don't really have an opinion on the extra skins although I will not say no to more in game content. I could hardly give a damn about the robot dog. From whta little I have read of the Drak Horse ME comics I am not impressed by that, it might as well be toilet paper. Digital soundtracks are useless to me, now if it came on a disc I might be more enthusiastic. The big question is are you willing to pay almost twice the price of the standard game for all this extra content.
