I would just like to point out that Game.co.uk and Gamestation.co.uk are owned by the same company.

Was a bit surprised when I read about the PC price hike from GAME and yet Gamestation stays that 10 quid cheaper.

Thanks for the info. That likely means that it coming to Amazon.co.uk or Play.com is unlikely then if Game/GS have a monopoly :/

Here the answer I recieved from amazon.co.uk. Sadly not really helpful. That about Game and Gamestation being owned by one company will let me look like an idiot, when they read my email XD here the answer I got from amazon.co.uk after asking if they're going to get it:

Yes, well, that's entirely up to you. 

I think the issue is more the fact that GAME has hiked the price up way over every other retailer.

Personally, I'm not sure that this CE is worth £70, and I will probably cancel my preorder with GAME... :/

the Collector's Edition is 69,99 Pounds = 78,9498 Euro = 114,5561 Dollar

at current stock

that is +150%! that means vor 1 Ce you could get 2 and a half normal editions if the price stays the same.

I'm not sure if the aditional content is really worth that.

OH ITS WORTH IT. ILL BUY ANYTHING BIOWARE.....heck if i had money i would literally buy EVERY SINGLE LITTLE THING THEY MADE.......i did manage to get that rare commander shepard statue a few years back though, it sit proudly next to my 150 dollar halo reach legendary edition, 70 dollar fable 3 limited edition, my 70 dollar mass effect 2 collectors edition and will also go well with the 150 dollar epic gears of war 3 edition...........im really wasteful with my money lol

I think, and this is just speculation, that it was a decision by GAME.
If it was EA, surely the price in Gamestation would have increased too, as both GAME and Gamestation are owned by the same company?

I'm gonna hold out for a while - see if the price drops or I can find a better retailer.
If not, i'll cancel it and get the bloody standard edition...

I love Mass Effect, but i'm not going to pay 70 quid for some extra content, an art book, sound track and N7 patch, i'm afraid.

Good point, but EA are charging £54.99 for just the Digital edition, which is a lot considering you miss out on all the physical items, so they are partly to blame.

The CE content is the robot dog, some N7 guns, a hoody for Shepard to wear () and an alternate appearance pack (as well as the steel case, artbook and N7 patch). The extra character will almost certainly be for sale seperately.

They call it additional content, I call it content removed from the normal version.

They just want people to pay extra to get the full game, sadly people do.

Oh yeah, no doubt.  EA aren't blameless in this situation - they are absolute ******* when it comes to overcharging for games.

70£ is truly expensive a completely unjustified price. You've got to ask yourself is the bonus content worth the same as an entire game, on amazon you can buy 2 copies of the regular version for less than the ce and have money left over

This is especially true when the physical items are nothing that special anyway. I was hoping for a reaper figurine or something similar, but an N7 patch?
