The devs already addressed the silly notion that every single other thing they decide to work on means hurting the single player. If there is MP it will be put in by a totally different studio and thus won't impact the SP at all. Can we drop this tired old saw now?
Time is money, whether you accept that is irrelevant it is true. Unless money for a hypothetical MP component is coming from a completely seperate source it is money coming from the SP budget, that is not debatable.
I disagree - again, ME3 is guaranteed to sell. Now is the time to push the envelope, not wait for "Mass Effect World" to test the MP waters.
Push the envolope with in reason, yes; tackle something they have never attempted before with what has been an entirely SP game. If they want to add MP to the their new IP that is fine but adding it at the end of the trilogy is kind of nonsensical. Sure you can say its fine because most people that have played ME1/2 would buy it regardless; but I see it more along the lines of delivering the best experience possible that remains in line with what ME1/2 offered. Not wildly venturing into what could potentially end up just being a giant hole that you throw money into with no real results.
