Aren't they a new enemy? Cannibals or something.

Yeah. They're supposed to be a new enemy. But They look like they're based off of Batarians with the four eyes and all.

The Cannibal is a batarian husk that I believe will consume dead bodies to gain strength or something like that.

They're definitely not krogans though, that's for sure.

Batarian Canibal.... nasty.

Even worse. I think it was OXM called a Kodiac dropshuttle the Hammerhead in a picture caption. I take every word and caption in magazines with a grain of salt. They interview and demo for pay.... they are not fans that know the game.

While these are indeed batarian husks, known as Cannibals, there will also be Krogan husks; I think they called them Brutes, as well as Asari and Rachni varieties. We're yet to see them, though.

The krogan husks will be krogan and turians combined to make a extra armored husk.

Yeah, that's a Cannibal, it's a human-batarian husk hybrid, apparently they fight in tandem with other husks and devour the bodies of those you kill, in doing so they heal themselves and get stronger (going to assume it works sort of like Reave), so you have to plan carefully the killing order of your enemies...

Other husks are rumored/confirmed (take this with a grain of salt, they were mentioned, some named but no promises from the devs yet), in particular:

- Brute (Krogan-Turian hybrid): apparently has embedded plate armour that can be shot off...

- Banshee (Asari): they appear to have "pot bellies", the first rumors actually said they were preggo Asari husks (for extra squick value)...

- Rachni husk: they appear to have the shape of rachni soldiers, but with sacks along the body; if you pop the sacks before the husk is dead they release lots of mini rachni husk (going to guess they are husks of rachni workers) that attack...

- Harvester husk: remember that strange flying gigantic bug that deposited Klixen everywhere during Grunt's mission, there's apparently husks of those things... :/

Again don't take all this at face value: so far we only saw Cannibals and a screenshot of a Rachni husk, but things may change, so don't complain if some of these are not there in the end... :)

I knew they were batarians from the start. Since when do krogans have four eyes?
