Hi all.
In response to the Digital Deluxe Edition being (for the moment) Origins only, I have decided to adopt this tactic.
1. Pre-order the DDE on Origins first.
2. Wait and see if Steam recieves the DDE
3. If so, revoke Origins preorder and order on Steam.
3.5 If not, continue with Origins
Is it actually possible to revoke a digital preorder on Origins? And will the use of the site download anything automatically (user interface etc.)?
Thanks in advance.
Can someone with experience tell me how Origins works and if a preorder can be revoked?

Well according to EA, the only place to do a Direct Download now is Origins.
If i heard correctly. Which would mean, no chance of a steam version unfortunately.

I know, but it's far too early to judge.

Oh I understand, but if the company that owns the game says that you can ONLY download it through THEIR service...well... I tend to take that as truth
Early or not a business decision that big isn't reached lightly.
So unless Origins has some terrible problem. I would assume EA's word on that particular subject is close to gospel.

You know, after the hilarity of where it took me about a week after release to get DA2 to actually bypass the bloody DRM so the game would start, this is very sh*ty news.
Why does EA hate steam so much?

They just want money. Steam is the leading online game downloader, and they want a piece of that dosh. They're comparable to Activision
