Oh, and on topic, I'd like it if the hamster got loose and crawled around the Normandy.  Then when you went to visit your companions, there could be a scene with the hamster.  Comedy!

Might make a nice side-quest. Urz makes a chew toy out of some coupling and escapes when the Normandy is docked at omega, then you must chase him through some vorcha territory before they eat him and before the mass effect drive blows up.

Well, I always thought it would be cool to pick up alien animals or do a futuristic fishing mini-game on uncharted worlds and have an entire zoo-deck on the Normandy. That might be over the top though.

Yeah, that's a bit much. What with fighting the Reapers and all that, too many pets would be a bother.

Rather, I'd like fish again, our hamster from ME2, hopefully Urz(robotic dog is okay but is SO NOT URZ), and MAYBE something else.

Maybe one of the characters conversing with Shepard about getting pets mentioning,

"I always wanted a pony. Can we get my little pony?"

I don't know. I don't think anyone else in the entire universe seems up that task. Those fish are suicidal or something - I turn my back for a moment and they've offed themselves.

Also, I want to add in my support for additional Shifty-Looking Cows (or any kind of amusing looking cows for that matter) in Mass Effect 3.
