I don't think anyone really expected him to be a permanent squad mate. Still, Jacob was one of my favorite characters, so I'm hoping that *both* of the "normal" guys get a badass makeover rather than just Kaiden.

What do you see for him? I'm really hoping that he rejoins the Alliance (if Shepard can get reinstated, so can he; they went off the grid at around the same time and both worked with Cerberus), either as a leader in the Corsairs or back as a First Lieutenant (or promoted to Lieutenant Commander?). Maybe there's a Spectre nomination in it for him after at the end of ME3?

On the other hand, might he (and Miranda, if she lives) attempt to usurp The Illusive Man after he turns on Shepard, and reform Cerberus? It's no more of a long shot than your nerdy archaeologist friend killing a Vanguard Spectre and viciously hunting down the most powerful information broker in the universe.

 Realistically, I get the feeling he'll be relegated to something really boring; possibly just a cameo and not even a mission as a temporary squadmate.

I liked Jacob.

He always seemed down to earth, and reasonably minded.
Definitely hope him and Miranda come back as selectable characters in ME3.

Nope. I believe that's Vigilante(not sure if that's the final name) a lot of rumors around this, think someone even dug up the VA for them.

I wanted to make Jacob a buddy, but since I run a femShep, I couldn't ever talk to him without sounding like ****. I think he's a pretty steady and realiable guy though. I'd like to see him turn up as a liaison with the Alliance fleet if possible or maybe as a corsair.

My idea is that he joins back Alliance as First Lieutenant and signs up for N7 training.

Returns as perma-squadmate in middle of game or temp-squadmate for few missions.

It makes the most sense that Jacob will be rejoining you as a perm squadmate since hes more then likely rejoining the Alliance.

I like how you didn't explain how you were going to shoot him out the airlock or painfully kill him like most sociopaths on BSN. Kudos to you!

When I think about it, I don't think Bioware or the ME team would be petty enough to forsake one of their own characters due to a bunch of haters.

I'd like him back in my squad, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I'd guess he's with the Alliance. Or, if Miranda isn't back in the squad, he's off with her, doing...something.

Hmm powerset needs to go back to Galaxy. No more Barrier.
I would like him back but I am thinking he gets written off with Kasumi.
Although there was some forshadowing in ME2.

He kind of already was.  His outfit is just as oversexualized as Miranda's.

Jacob turns out to be a spy for TIM. Jacob was placed on your team as insurance in case you tried to double cross TIM. Jacob has been training for your assassination in the event of your departure from Cerberus.

All those push up were for strength conditioning for the fight. He gets you in the sack in the captain's quarters and then he tries to kill you like a Bond villain. lol
