I don't have the slightest doubt it will come out on Wii U. Holiday's 2012 for ME3 and ME 1 + 2 Collection is my guess and my opinion.

Yeah I noted this and was amused that several BioWare employees I follow on Twitter were less than impressed by what they saw of the WiiU - considering EA might take it out of their hands. What with an EA fellow mentioning something along these lines as well (albeit as just a possibility and not a certainty) definitely hints that it could become a reality.

Frankly I see more potential with the WiiU stuff than the Kinect anyway, so if they have to fuss around with gimmicks it might as well be the ones that offer the most options (in my opinion).

The WiiU has potential, but only time will tell if it comes close to reaching it. Regardless of that however bringing BioWare games (and the ME series) to a wider audience is NEVER a bad thing. I will never understand the elitism that surrounds gaming. Sure offering bonuses to one console over the other sucks and shouldn't happen unless it's impossible to bring it to all the systems, but complaining just because a game you play on your [system of choice] is now coming out on [a system you are not a fan of] just seems silly. We are all gamers and for the most part BioWare fans, and more people playing (and buying) BioWare games can only result in them staying in buisness and producing more and bigger products. Products that I would want everyone to have a chance to experience, as I tend to think they are rather good.

No kidding.... Ugh :pinched: Way to be years behind Nintendo, should have kept that project in the shop for a couple more years until you came up with something better...

Wii isn't the WiiU, everyone I know that has heard, watched or went to E3 were less then impressed with the WiiU. As of now most people don't care about it. There's just not enough about it to be very enthused. The Wii was cool because it did motion before anyone, that was it's 'thing', what is the WiiU's thing? So far it seems to be disappointing fans at every news release.

Also the number 1 complaint I hear about Nintendo, is please for the love of heaven make solid games and quit the rehashing, people are starting to not care.

As for Bioware titles going to WiiU being a good or bad thing, it's never going to be a bad thing since it brings more people as pointed out earlier, and it gives Nintendo something decent. Riding on the coat tails of someone else, but hey you've got to start somewhere ??!!

The Wii bored the heck out of me, Kinect is exactly the same. I am not going to mess with any of it.

Flailing around like a moron doesn't interest me.

Yeah I would imagine by the time the WII U even releases Mass effect 3 will be months old news.

If anything MAYBE the next ME in the series, I wouldnt doubt that, but i highly doubt they'd remake ME2 and 3 for Wii U.

I just doubt the audience would be there unless they add a BUNCH of special perks to it.

I mean honestly I dont buy a new console for a months old port from other systems ya know?

Ah... while that's an interesting idea, it's not happening for the initial release of ME3 .

(Don't read too much into the wording of that statement, I just don't know if there's any long-range plans for a port in the future and I'm future-proofing my statement).

If ME1 didn't come to PS3 then it won't go to the Wii U

Wii U is already a failed device, it doesnt support 4 of those niffy controls only 1 last i heard and that was shortly after E3. I fear we may be seeing Nintendo becoming just a game developing company or just focusing on the handhelds, because we know they do well with Handheld systems.

But its possible for ME2 and ME3 to go to Wii U on later dates since those two games are under EA publishing rights. Hopefully if it does it pushes EA to obtain publishing rights of ME1 so the PS3 and Wii U can experience the game that made the series into a full blown Trilogy. Without the success of ME1, ME2 and ME3 would not have happen.

Have.. to.. post.. this.. (Can't hold urge) Wii U ME!!

Anyways I would be glad if Mass Effect went to Nintendo side though I doubt it'll sell well since most people moved on to Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

This is a fair point. Does it really matter as long as rescources aren't diverted away from the current platforms? I'd say finish the PS3/PC/360 version, and get them spot on. Then do all the DLC lark until that's done with. Then, if EA feels they can make profit from it, have a team port ME3 and the DLC collection onto WiiU. Nobody loses really.

ME1 came out just for 360, then later for PC. ME2 came out for 360 and PC, then later for PS3. Why shouldn't ME3 eventually end up on the WiiU? The console is still in development, so developing ME3 for it would almost certainly occur after it has launched on 360, PC and PS3. The WiiU is expected to be roughly as powerful as the PS3 so the only reason not to is that they'd only be getting the last game, or at best ME2 and ME3, and ME2 will be getting on a bit by then. Also, anyone that wanted to play Mass Effect will have started on another console or the PC by now. The first two games are pretty cheap now so theres no reason not to.

Why in the world would you hope not? It won't affect you if someone gets to play ME2 on a different console. If anything its a good thing, as it brings in more fans and more money so Bioware will be able to set aside a larger budget for any future Mass Effect stuff.

Bringing Mass Effect to the Wii-U eventually is a good idea, and allows more people to enjoy Mass Effect. Anyone who disagrees is probably as bad as those whining children who complained about FFXIII coming to the 360, like it's their precious console-exclusive or something.

I think the Wii U has potential. It's like the current-gen consoles but with better graphics and 1080p. It supports traditional control so it all depends on the developer if they would make it just like the 360 version or if they include touchscreen controls. Just like the Wiimote the touchscreen controller could lead to gimmicky gameplay, but competent developers have been able to use the Wiimote in a non-gimmicky way.

I do see how the touchscreen could enhance the Mass Effect experience. They could put the power and weapon wheels on the controller so you don't have to pause in combat. It could also be used for improved bypass and hacking games. If it's optional, I don't see how it would be a problem.

Why such hate for WiiU ?

Aside from the fact that they are further gimmicking gaming? Aside from the fact that they are trying to appeal to the harcore crowd (us, more than likely) by giving us this gimmick of a console?

Look, I loved Nintendo for many years. I grew up with them, loved the games, etc...but once they came out with the Wii...and basically decided gimmicks were more important than real games, it was the last straw. It's kind of like companies wanting audiences that they never were interested in before just to make tons of cash at the expense of their previously loved fanbase. (Can you guess who I'm talking about? Bet you can.)

And that's why I have such a firey hatred for the WiiU. Thanks for reading. :)

it's a giant DS for your tv

how is it a gimmick?
