This isn't right. The WII U shouldn't be the console to get the superior version of ME3 cause if they release ME2 on WII U then ME3 will most likely be on there too while 360 and the PS3 are left with the inferior versions. Either Bioware delay ME3 until PS4 and the 720 are out or don't release the ME series on the WII U.

I'm getting flashbacks to all the hissyfits thrown when they announced ME2 for PS3. And this time it's not even announced.

And seriously, does it really bother you if other people get to play the same games you do even if you didn't buy the same consoles?

The Wii (U) is an extremely dated piece of low profile hardware . No way the Unreal Engine would run on that either fast OR beautiful. This will never happen happen. Not with the current generation of dated consoles.

Maybe they can release ME2/3 in a double pack for the Wii U...............And then Shepard can appear in Smash Bross Wii U.

the best you'll get is an awkward port.

Seeing Mass Effect 3 ported to the Wii U would upset me deeply.

The more consoles they release for the biger the audience becomes, and that is great for a developing universe like ME!

why? theres no rational reasont o be against more people being able to enjoy the game.

its exactly like someone getting upset that PS3 owners got ME2. why get upset at that? makes no sense at all.

I don't care what platforms Mass Effect is released on, so long as they don't dumb down the PC version to accomodate console players who can't be bothered to get up and change a CD.

I don't know about anyone else but constantly expanding platforms - or more importantly platforms that aren't highly known for quality gaming and storytelling - cheapens it. It shows that your kinda willing to sacrifice appearances and quality of the game for a buck since Wii comes off pretty gimmicky at times. Not all games - some games are really great.

I'm not saying that it's the way all the time but thats the way I would see it.

i play on the PC as well, but mass effect has always been a console game first and a PC game second.

I don't think they should be doing on the Shepherd arc but instead do a completely different story, the reason is if they do a port like version of ME2, why buy this when you can get the other one much cheaper. Instead would be better if they focus of taking the most advantage of the WiiU.

Yeah I noted this and was amused that several BioWare employees I follow on Twitter were less than impressed by what they saw of the WiiU - considering EA might take it out of their hands. What with an EA fellow mentioning something along these lines as well (albeit as just a possibility and not a certainty) definitely hints that it could become a reality.

Frankly I see more potential with the WiiU stuff than the Kinect anyway, so if they have to fuss around with gimmicks it might as well be the ones that offer the most options (in my opinion).

The WiiU has potential, but only time will tell if it comes close to reaching it. Regardless of that however bringing BioWare games (and the ME series) to a wider audience is NEVER a bad thing. I will never understand the elitism that surrounds gaming. Sure offering bonuses to one console over the other sucks and shouldn't happen unless it's impossible to bring it to all the systems, but complaining just because a game you play on your [system of choice] is now coming out on [a system you are not a fan of] just seems silly. We are all gamers and for the most part BioWare fans, and more people playing (and buying) BioWare games can only result in them staying in buisness and producing more and bigger products. Products that I would want everyone to have a chance to experience, as I tend to think they are rather good.

I completely agree with you. People are too obsessed with their favourite system to allow the same game on another console. I remember a huge uproar from Xbox fanboys when they announced that ME2 was gonna be on PS3. People kind of need to grow up in my opinion.

we're discussing teh Wii U, not the Wii. big difference.

the Wii U is comparable or superior in power ot the PS3 and xbox360. specific specs have no been released. also with a controller that has all the same imputs as a standard ps3 or 360 controller (and more).

you could in theory, have your standard mass effect controls, then in the touch screen in the middle of the controller put the power wheel, so you just need to tap the screen to have garrus do an overload or cuncussive shot.

It's been rumoured that WiiU is more powerful than Xbox360 and PS3. It definitely wouldn't be of bad quality.

HAHAHAHA

You really have not the slightest clue what you are talking about. The Wii U is going to be significantly stronger then the PS3 or 360. Frankly, their tech is pretty outdated this far into the current gen. The Wii U's graphics and specs will completely outclass the current gen systems. Make no mistake, Nintendo is creating the next gen and it's graphical bar, and it's going to drag Sony and Microsoft with them whether they like it or not, because if they don't follow suit, the Wii U will blow their current systems out of the water.

I doubt it just do to the timing.

As for people that are disagreeing with the people that don't want ME3 on the Wii U. It's not so much that they don't want it on there, so much as they don't want specs becoming a hindrance to the development. Ever played Dead Rising on the 360? Pretty fun game. Ever play Dead Rising on the Wii? Pretty empty game. Or how about Sonic Unleashed? Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are pretty good. The PS2 version and the Wii version are bad. Plain and simple.

I don't disagree with companies expanding their audiences by going on different consoles, but nothing is worse than seeing a bunch of inferior copies of a game just so a company can say "it's on both systems." It leaves a really sour atmosphere when you see both and makes you scratch your head and think "why bother?"

Yes, they are stronger, but it's not really setting a graphical bar. As it's obvious that the next generation of Microsoft and Sony products will be there and stronger. The Wii had to update, because it was simply far too weak to compete. They weren't releasing enough 1st and 2nd party games, and the 3rd party games' qualities were all over the place.  It will not drag Sony or Microsoft at all. As a matter of fact, releasing first can largely be seen as a disadvantage.  Regardless, most companies are going to design their graphical capabilities around Sony and Microsoft, because they have a much more stable audience-- the people that already own the consoles.  It's the safer choice. Why gamble when you don't need too? Especially when the "win" you'd receive is unhelpful at best. May as well design games that are Sony, Microsoft, and Wii U capable. You'll gather more revenue that way. Which is exactly what's going to happen. And then Sony and Microsoft will update, and then once again, Nintendo will face the same problems that did with the Wii. Except this time, they won't grab all of those initial buyers like the Wii. But that doesn't mean I expect it to sell poorly. Quite the opposite; Nintendo has a legion of rabid supporters.

You forget we're talking about WiiU, not Wii. Wii's ports (which weren't actually ports) were terrible, but because the specs are going to be so great on WiiU, that problem no longer exists because it's actually possible to port it.
