Indeed it does look that way.  Hard to tell since the line is quite small.
Anyway Bioware learnt along time ago about that issue.  They wouldn't do it again now would they  B)

It is a form of PvE game balance to prevent certain min-max builds.  It allows BioWare to guarantee that certain powers will not fully kick in until later in the game, so that they can adjust level design accordingly.

I can't tell for sure but it looks like the bar is divided in the middle and works it's way out. Hopefully it won't have the same system as fable.

Anyone tried to capture the stream? Gamespot keeps stopping at certain parts and I can't watch it, it'd be nice if someone uploaded it to Youtube.

I thought you can modify weapons during the combat. Heard so on one of the Croatian forums.

You can only mod weapons when you get to one of those consoles most likely - and that makes sense. It's doubtful you'd really be carrying a full compliment of mods around in the heat of combat. The ammo being a power is iffy, since you could argue that with the current tech changing the ammo via a weapon setting or mod is just as doable, but still - I don't mind the powers for ammo so long as they evolve well too :)

I love the new locations shown off though - and that one scene with the Quarian and the glowing planetary orbs? Nifteh!

You have to go to a bench to mod the weapon.  It would be like trying to bypass or hack during combat.  Which you can do in ME2, but you still take damage if you are shot while doing it.

All in all looks good.

Here's hoping there's some negatives to weapon mods. For example, a barrel mod may increase damage but decrease stability; a grip mod may increase stability and ammo capacity but decrease fire rate, so players will get to manage and customize their mods with thought and depth instead of brainlessly putting in the best mods to the best weapons and that's it.

Ammo powers represent specialized training, not magical abilities.  You have been trained to calibrate your weapon properly to use the appropriate ammo.

Yes, you can also add switches, but there is no point to it, as you can actually progress on powers.

Ammo Powers again? Weak. I just hope that we will actually be able to use powers this time without that Hecate awful universal cool down.
Edit: Sorry. Didn't see the recharge time. Very nice.
