Judging by this screenshot, it looks like Mass Effect 3 will have 8 powers with up to 6 customisation slots, up from 6 powers with 2 customisation slots in Mass Effect 2.  I'd like more than 8 powers personally, but the 6 different cusomisations look nice.  Thoughts?

Also, if anyone has a link to the video this is from that would be appreciated.

Pros:
  • Although it's still streamlined like ME2's, it looks like there are six ranks for each power instead of 4 like ME.
  • Grenades as a base power for Soldier class
Cons:
  • Ammo should be part of Weapon Mods, not actual powers. <_<
Meh:
  • Hopefully Concussive Shot and Fortitude gets buffed because they sucked in the second game.

New Paragon/renegade meter too. Looks like it will be more of a balance thing as opposed to two meters with segements to fill in.

I actually like what I'm seeing. Instead of the ME2 (and ME1 to some extent) style where each one of those little upgrade bars had a predetermined stat like +x% damage and accuracy, these actually allow you to pick what bonus you get each level, wether they be passive or active upgrades

Like say (this is an example that I'm making up) you want to upgrade Concussion Shot. Instead of just up grading the damage, you can choose to do damage, blast radius, number of projectiles, or cooldown. Again thats just a made up example but it seems to me from the videos thats what they're doing.

Which is stupid, that makes any netrual character useless thus you are forced to play one side or you miss out on speach challanges.

Hmm Paragade is back. Too bad, I hope that at least it is better implemented than ME2.

Besides that, I think the skills looks like a mix between ME1 and ME2 with bigger parts ME2.

Meh... I think the reason for that is so players can use any ammo mods without needing to run off to find a console to switch ammo mods in a middle of a firefight.

Were the Paragon/Reneage meter's on other character pages before?
I honestly can't remember.

Why the hell are grenades a power? ME1 had them and they worked perfectly or is it now, due to all the upgrades, only highly trained professionals can chuck a hunk of metal?

Fortitude didn't exist in ME2. You're thinking of Fortification. Perhaps they've renamed it, or perhaps it's a new passive skill.

I think it will be similar and just start from the middle.  Will go blue up...red down.

Yes, believe it or not. <_<

This isn't Call of Duty where tossing grenades is easy peasy for everyone. A soldier is actually trained in how to use a grenade or they'll either blow themselves up or kill someone accidently.

Opps, my mistake.

But yeah, I'm thinking it might be a new defensive ability, similar to how it was in ME1, just less broken.

Wow.....can already tell I'm not being a solider. Menu looks nice, though.

Liara sounds awesome.

Are you thinking something like what BioWare did in Dragon Age, with the approval meters?

It does look cleaner. The blue/purplish hue looks a lot better than the orange from ME2.

Both Liara and Garrus seem to have their own special kind of grenades as well. Perhaps frags are just exclusive to the Soldier.

This. The close up from Shepard´s screen had two tiny bars, blue up and orange down.

I don't think so, which leads me to question if squadys can have the poetential to be either paragon or renegade in me3.

As for the new skills tree, if the frag grenade is exclusive to the soldier then I hope they improved on it, because it sucked as a power for Shepard. I'm also interested if ME3 will have each power go by an individual charge like in ME1.

Then it is a SKILL not a POWER and it still does not belong on this tree.
A raw recruit in the military learns to chuck those things.
