Guys, this is the most rational way they can use to start another trilogy.
Dream worlds are quite common in literature.
deus ex machina is also a common thing in literature and stories.
doesnt mean its good lol.
there isnt enough psychological cues within the story for it being a dream to make any sense.
generally when you do dream worlds theres often subtle hints that its not really reality but theres none of that in the ME series.
a surprise twist ending like that needs clues that its goign to happen, not obvious enough clues that everyone realizes whats going on before it happens, but enough so taht after you're shocked and see the twist, that you can look back and go "ohhhhh so thats what that meant when this happened and this was a clue that no one picked up on, ok this makes sense now"
