Seriously BW, AWESOME job on that part. I don't know what they did, but ME3 looks leagues above ME2 and ME1 in that respect.

The melee animations, the enemy movements, the cinematic feel of the running and jumping, really bring the characters to life, they feel lifelike now.

I was stunned coming out into the skyline on Earth and watching mile long Reapers just land before my very eyes, and watching them wreak havoc in the background while others fall from the sky like meteors. I was seriously taken aback, thinking, "Holy **** is this Mass Effect!?"

And the biggest thing, driving away from the enormous Reaper on your tail while on the turret and the god rays poking through his limbs as he walks, and then a freaking orbital strike rains down on him? The plume of smoke and explosion seriously had a photorealistic feel to it especially with the blur effect you created on that Geth vehicle while it was happening. GOOD GOD I felt like it was something out of Uncharted or God of War.

PROPS to your technical team. And you said there's even bigger than that? Downright astounding.

Just wanted to get that off my shoulders.

It's that new lighting technique, I believe.

They were cool backdrops, but you were still in a corridor. A couple of the recent shots from the live streaming thing today though kind of look like it might have a bit more of a open level design here and there, maybe vehicle missions only.

Yeah when shep goes out into the open to see reapers raining destruction on earth and one lands next to him. Had my jaw on the floor the entire time.

First time I saw that Reaper two-shot the ship, and then BOOM! (blindingly bright white explosion), was better than a movie.

the in-action set-pieces have been cool, like the falling building/sliding on earth - hope there's a lot of that - they're immersive and very cool, adds a great dynamicity to the game. even the moving/descending background reapers are cool.

I liked how they optimized the large-scale events too, and mind, this is under a year to release. The moment that full-sized Reaper just dropped down almost atop Shep and Anderson I forgot about my lower jaw...

Amazing how different a game could look like with better lighting.

Man too many sequel coming out. iNFAMOUS 2 Duke Nukem Forever Deus ex 3, Gears of war 3, Skyrim, Uncharted 3. All of these are blending in with ME3 too well.

the cutscenes blend well together with the combat sequences especially with certain points where a particular event happens, BioWare seems to be taking notes from the Gears of War franchise

"set-pieces" is the new "immersion"

And oddly enough, that's a complement in this case. The way the scenes seamlessly transition from Shep looking around to over-the-shoulder combat mode were excellent.

So that was a reaper? Why was it so small?

Because a big ass Reaper dreadnought can't get people when they run into a canyon?

Me too! My mind immediately jumped to Uncharted when I saw the Earth demo. The environments look amazing! Virtual cookies for everyone in the ME team who worked on them. :)
