Is it me or does DA2 have better character creation than ME1 & 2? Please improve it for ME3!

The character creation feature seems much better in DA2 than in either of the released ME games...I think they should really update it. Who's with me?

No. DA2's creator often displays hair/beards with missing "patches" of hair; hardly an improvement.

At least DA2 has hair and beards. ME3's CC needs an upgrade, at least in terms of the extra touches you could add re: hair/beard.

An upgrade sure, just not DA2's.

DA2's CC has great potential, but the potential wasn't fully realized, perhaps due to lack of development time or because they wanted us to use the default "marketed" Hawke. I've created very good looking characters with it, but it's not as powerful as others I've used. Overall I think it's much easier to create a good-looking character in DA2 than in ME or ME2.

Part of the problem may be Mass Effect lore, which states that Earth has become a truly multicultural society in which all races are interbreeding. Therefore the genetically dominant features are becoming most common across the entire globe, as opposed to current day where in Asia people look Asian, but in Sweden people look Swedish. The genetically dominant features being: darker/olive skin, darker hair, darker eyes, and possibly some facial structures like cheekbones are more pronounced.

I think the ME and ME2 CC tries to represent this: so, for example, if you're a caucasian male of Nordic decent it's not easy to make a character who looks like you, since there wouldn't be many (or any) in the ME universe. At least not who look like that naturally.

Edit: That is to say, if you tried to make a Nordic man in ME, it would be difficult to make him look very good.  But it's also hard to make an African or Indian or Arab man look good because the CC simply isn't very powerful.

Edit Edit: Among the ME series CC problems: Lighting inconsistent with in-game environments, limited viewing angles, limited sliders for facial bone structure and nose shape, general lack of sufficient height/width range for features like lips and eyes, and insufficient feature shape choices.  Also, facial stubble looks okay in some instances and looks like he has dirt on his face in others...  Sorry for long post.
