Removal of power requirements?

It doesn't make sense that some powers are prerequisites for others. Why does an Infiltrator need to learn incineration before AI hack?

Please let the player choose what powers he wants without being forced to pick powers just to get the ones he wants...wasn't good in ME2 or DA2. Please listen to us and implement a change, still 9 months to go!

The power requirement has been in the game since ME1. Why change it?

I agree with you, or at least make them logical/consistent.

Pull unlocks Shockwave for Adepts
Shockwave unlocks pull for Vanguards

Ideal situation is just not have it.

Hmm, it does create problems in class builds, as it means one power can't get 3 points. I'm in firm support of this idea.

As a petition this'll probably get locked, but I agree. I'd rather Legion have full in everything at the cost of no A.I hacking training, but the current system does not allow this :(

You're not alone I feel pre-requisites take away from customization. Like say I want to max out certain powers, but I can't because I spent some of my points on pre-requisites.

If unlocks stay, then whatever gets unlocked should be something more advanced from the original, not another equal power... and it needs to stay consistent (see Pull/Shockwave example a post above, lol).

In ME2 particularly, where you're already heavily limited (and squadmates ridiculously limited), it's been pretty awkward to have further limitations due to unlocks-for-the-sake-of-unlocks.

If the powers are related, it's OK. But yeah, incineration before hacking is just silly.

While I completely agree with you, I strongly advise you to change the title of this thread to something like Support removal of power requirements or something. Petition threads are closed as a matter of principle on BSN.

This is standard RPG design. The pen-and-paper skill-based systems have been using it since the Earth cooled.

True. To unlock Cryo ammo by filling up Incendiary and Disruptor Ammo is just too much to ask for. To me, they all have their strengths for respective foes although Cryo does seem to be a little stronger and advantageous against numerous types of foes. I'd think that Disruptor Ammo be unlocked immediately from the start. Cryo Ammo should be unlocked when either Incendiary OR Disruptor reaches a certain stat.

They should make it so after reaching lvl 30 with one character, all of your current and future characters have the prerequisites restrictions lifted.

A lot has changed since the Earth cooled down; thankfully something like Evolution was out there or we wouldn't be here discussing irrelevant nonsense such as computer games in the first place :)

Change can be for the good you know.

I agree with removing it. It's pretty annoying having a power stuck on 6 points because I had to waste points on a power I didn't want.
