Oh, I hope that's the case. It would make more sense if she had it loose for dressing up/formal (or even just on the Normandy) but then a more practical style for combat. It fits her personality better. I know the characters have 'matured' and 'developed' and all that, but I'm not sure why that would mean 'developing' a taste for impracticality. The catsuit I could perhaps ignore. The hair, not so much.
Exactly. Especially since Ashley is who she is, a rough n' tough xenophobic gal who is also religious and a virgin. Her suit hardly gives her that vibe anymore. So hopefully thats the case. Especially since I found out some spoilerific stuff about her earlier today. I'm 95% positive that will explain it.
Are you talking about how she's a spectre? And lol at virgin.
LOL YA. Shh. :bandit:

And the virgin thing was a joke. I was skimming through her wiki profile and read the message she sends to male shepard. Plus with her moral convictions. I just like to assume that. Oh god this post is making me seem like a perverted guy isn't it? Oh jeez. Oh gosh. HHHNNG.

Yep.

Shes staring down the scope of her rifle and all she can see is hair.

I still believe that its just her casual getup she had going on at Sheps trial. Once they get out on the Normandy they'll be a short scene where she ties her hair back up and what not.

Although if we hit omega; tinfoil mini and kneehigh boots and let down hair are certainly on the cards.

Well since she's no longer a virgin in my canon playthrough, I guess the new look is justified.

That's what happened to me when I lost MY viriginity. I started wearing cat suits and wearing my hair down. B)

Why do you multiply the topics about Ashley ? For exactly saying the SAME thing? Do you think it makes your point more valid like that ? I don't think that Bioware takes seriously what kind of trollage.

They were saying in the E3 interview that you quite literally pick up your squad mates while they're in the middle of their daily lives. I'm assuming Ashley was attending some sort of honorary / military / political gathering. Hopefully that explains why she is dressed the way she is.

She kind of reminds me of Starbuck from the new battlestar. She is masculine, but she knows how to clean up.

The hell

She's not a xenophobe.  Overly cautious, probably.  Xenophobe?  Not even close.

And as for being a virgin.....well, she isn't on one of my playthroughs for sure :innocent:

T___T Sarcasm gets me no where.

I love Ashley's hair. It is a huge improvement from the plastic hairstyles from the first two games and Dragon Age II.

It's sexy, something I felt Ashley was missing especially since in the first game she was obviously meant to be strong and beautiful, but I never got the beautiful vibe from her at all in the first two games.

I just hope this means a better look for the female version of Shepard. Oh, and more natural looking hair in future games like they have shown with Ashley

Excessively padded push up bras?  Yeah I felt the need to wear them too.

Lets try to stay on topic please. The last ashley thread on her appearance became unreadable because of all the useless garbage posted in it.

I think the hair looks good too, it just looks really bad in her face like that. They either need to pull it back or change it to a different style.

This **** again? -_- It seems people care about Ashley's hair and outfit more than I don't know....the gameplay, story etc.

Actually, I don't have anything else to complain about in regards to ME3... so I stick with complaining about Ash's suit.

I don't get anything you're trying to say, how does religion and her behavior on aliens (she isn't xenophobic, btw) influence how she's supposed to be dressed (I don't get how the hell you got the virgin vibe from her)? People can still be tough and dress themselves up, it isn't much different from her potential previous suits in ME1:

Weird, I figured more people would have a problem with the outfit than the hair.

Maybe as an alternate appearance. Ash would look great with a ponytail, but I like the new hair just fine. Don't crush my dreams of finally seeing Ash's hair down!!!!! :D

That's about as dead on as we have a shot of her. She's looking left though, which means if we were to move the camera right, her hair is going to cover up even more of her eye than it is now. Don't get me wrong either, she's my canon LI, she looks really good, but a soldier shouldn't cover her eyes with her hair. It's just silly.

As I stated in the OP I really don't care. It's not going to affect my opinion on the character or the game in any way probably. It's just a fairly common complaint I noticed with a fairly easy fix. It's also 98 degrees outside, so I'm going to chill inside where it's cold and talk about useless junk on the internet. :P

I understand your point, but if we have screenshots and video of her aiming down the scope of that rifle and shooting it, then she can clearly see well enough.

Ashley was the pretties female in ME1 ans ME2.
It's a shame she got Bioware'd.

To me she was borderline unattractive in ME1, I like her current look much better. Bioware isn't good with hair, though, so this could end badly.

Wasn't she BioWare'd to start? Since, you know, they made her?

I dislike her new look anyway.

It looks like a cat suit to me in comparison to light armor. Its also her hair and her make up and just the overall change of her character. Its extremely out of character and would need to be explained.

If you read any of my previous posts, you'd understand I was being sarcastic.

Firstly, her moral convictions, appreciation for poetry, and religious practices define her character. If I posted a picture of Aria and said "she's catholic" some people may have difficulty believing that. Physical appearance has a lot to do with characterization.
