Tonn, seriously?

Yes.

And yeah, if you'd watched the Earth demo vid, you see these Husks in action. They fit perfectly into the science fiction AND methodology of the reapers to me. Turn your enemies into abominations and unleash them back into the battlefield. You create unnerving and psychological warfare just by their presence, nevermind for gameplay it adds more variety and new tactical options.

Gameplay is really the only purpose. It has nothing to do with science, not even basic logic.Either the things are corpses,no advantage gained(like the redundant vitals of krogans),just dead flesh. Mixing them as some kind of living creatures also dont work.(complete different type of their dna system)

If the Reapers can turn Protheans into Collectors.Im sure they can do hybrids.Look at the Praetorian.

isn't the prime purpose of the husk psychological waqarfare in any case? Wouldn't surprise me if being scared ****less by your own deformed dead coming to kill you makes indoctrination easier, it is possible to resist at least for a short time if your motivation is strong enough, like with saren.

You keep saying it doesn't work or make sense but why not? The Reapers modified the Protheans to become abominations to carry out their dirty work in the galaxy. Now they've hit the galaxy full force and are using their advanced knowledge [these guys have hundreds of thousands of years of science/know-how backing it] to dabble with all living organisms and find ways to combine them for stronger hybrids to use in combat as shock troops. It makes complete sense to me and considering some of the attributes of the races they would make use of, frankly a bit scary.

I already explained it in short sentences.

The Reapers modified the Protheans to become abominations to carry out their dirty work in the galaxy.

And here is the same problem that the hybrids have: The complete lack of any purpose. Why should they turn humanoids protheans into insects types?

OP seems to be missing the point that at the time of "huskification" bodies mean little more than biomass and brain power processing, they pretty much just slap things together to create shock troopers, given how the biology of the species is altered I really doubt dna means anything when they are made husks.

They have a thing for insects... Keepers first, then the Rachni and finally the Collectors...
Probably because hive minds are easier to control...

*shameful self advertising*

I actually had a theory regarding all this... If you have time for a read... Here

If it's true the Protheans should have been remarkably human like... With a quad strand DNA however... ;P
