I think I just head them say that every conversation option and every choice that you make has a major impact on your game.

If it's truly so, it would explain two conversation options in the dialogues that we saw. Having an actual choice with essential consequences per dialogue is pretty major. I don't believe I've ever seen such a thing before. Most of the time, it doesn't matter what Shepard says, and it has no impact on the game whatsoever, once the dialogue ends. It only alters the morality meter. Even the major choices in ME2 didn't have any immediate results - presumably because we're going to see them later.

Imagine this, if Shepard says something, and a few hours later, his words get around, and someone remembers what he said. Or quote it on the media. Or remind Shepard of his words, because the subject was that important, and because the one who spoke with Shepard has a long memory. And it changes the outcome of the mission. And the outcomes of the missions change the outcome of the war. That would be awesome. Being able to build trust with major figures by choosing your words and your actions. Actually moving the plot into a different direction.

Imagine the choices you make having direct impact on the game, right away, and not just on the few lines in the epilogue at the very end. Imagine the options you pick in this dialogue defining the dialogue you get next. Imagine the replay value - a choice every dialogue! Imagine the game being actually interactive.

I think I just got carried away with my dreams. Still, if sounds very promising. I'll try not to get my hopes up too high, though.

That sounds a bit too ambitious. Unless my maths are wrong then if each dialogue choice offered 2 significant paths, there would be 1,024 paths they would have to map by the time the game were 10 dialogues in. It'd take decades to pull off.
