Is there any word on when some new DLC is coming for DA2?

If you do a search on the forums, some pics of a possible DLC were posted.

you mean the content that was stripped out of the game so that it could be sold back to you piece by piece? I would imagine the Devs are working tirelessly to milk that extra 10 bucks out of you so you probably wont be waiting long.

Maybe if we ask really nicely we can get new clothes for our companions at a discount.... or maybe we could pay 20 bucks for a patch that allowed them to wear armor that we looted off of Generic Ninja #6.

"I think the star wars prequels added the right level of awesome to the franchise. I just wish Lucas hadn't beaten me to Jar Jar Binks... he would have been awesome for a Fantasy RPG Franchise we are getting started on" - Mike Laidlaw, 2002 ..... allegedly.

I'm sure I could imagine him saying that.
"Mesa Mike Laidlaw, mesa ruin franchise with boom boom!"

Be nice for them to give some information to people actually looking forward to DLC's. Boggles the mind why, but more the power to you then.

Bet it'll be a story about hawke, as he skips and jumps amongst the tulips while his handsome friend gobs him off. And then something about templars riding griffons and firing lasers as the SR2 Normandy swoops in, saving hawke and his handsome friend, quickly escaping to space! Then its off to Risa the pleasure planet for a multi-species orgy.

But trouble happens! A Star Dreadnaught with the name Executor comes out of hyperspace, releasing hordes of Tie Fighter Advance, who's sole goal is to destroy hawke...

Please insert $10 to continue..

Ahhh Story DLC, this will be interesting, does bioware give it away for free as an apology? or do they actually charge? will it just be another recycled dungeon fest like origins dlc & all of DA2? or do they FINALY learn and put some actual effort in? will it have the da2 cast? or just more generic npcs that could be interesting if it wasn't under 2 hours

At this point the story/add on DLC is going to be what makes or breaks DA2, i'm quite curious how the Staff handles it, admittingly i'm not optimistic given the DA teams utter lazyness, mass effect team i'll always day 1 buy their stuff, DA team is going to have to put ALOT of effort into regaining the trust of it's fanbase

Admit it. You all would buy my story idea DLC. Its that epic.

And yeah, if the DLC ever gets released to the 50 people still playing DA2...

@neppakyo Brilliant. I'd pay ten bucks for that, for sure. (I was kind of hoping it would be Sten riding in on a griffin, though. If he wants to go all scary qunari sex on Hawke, who am I to stand in his way?)

As to why people want it, I'm up for the stories but not interested in weapons and clothes and such. Also, I really owe thanks to someone who criticised me for buying $7 Sebastian on this forum, but I can't remember who it was. I turned this comment, directed at me, "You are responsible for the FIASCO modern gaming has become" into an 800 word article about the history/evolution of DLC practices and got $125 for it, so I think I can pump some of that back into BioWare for a story I'm sure I'll enjoy. Heheh.

I would like the dlc to keep the same characters, but perhaps have a story about what happens to them after they flee Kirkwall. The epilogue just wasn't enough!

wait.... you got paid 125 bucks to vent your frustration about the steaming pile of excrement that Bioware slapped a "2" on .... essentially making a profit of 65 bucks.... and instead of taking your winnings and buying yourself a cold adult beverage, you want to give that money to the people who sold you the lemon in the first place? Before you do anything, I have a bridge in excellent condition that you might want to look at before you buy an DLC.

If you are really that intent on setting your money on fire, isnt Lucas releasing the Star Wars Prequels special edition or some nonsense? I hear Jar Jar shoots first.

"I can not wait for the Star Wars Prequels special edition" - Mike Laidlaw, 2011.... allegedly.

^ Not very quotable, sadly. But, I think DAII is a great game, and really, genuinely am looking forward to more story. DLC is actually a very interesting and complex issue, and one which gamers really care about, but I guess the reality is that people will buy it. I will. (Not weapons or chastity belts.)

PS. I wasn't venting my frustration. I was examining whether or not my accuser had a point.

I have a feeling we're going to get an Awakening-style expansion.

There is no proof to any of this, it's just a hunch.

A reminder that, while we encourage people to share their opinions whether positive or negative, we require that they be shared in a respectful fashion. This is not a free-for-all - there are rules, and if you're unable to be civil you will be removed from the forums.

Thank you.

You are officially trolling, dude.  You really are. If you don't care, why comment?  You post the same stuff in every thread.  ME3 has threads now.  Go troll there.

Yeah, Awakening was the first post-Blight storyline, after the integrated content, then came the side-stories, then the rest of the post-Blight.

I'd like some dlc to fill in the gap years, that would be fun. Especially if you get to spend more time with your sibling in the first year.
