Something with a Qunari female, maybe romanceable companion? I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, want to see something to that effect. They just so cool XD

Seriously though, the release of story DLC has been so slow (practycally nonexistant, since its only Sebastian), add in the cliffhanger at the end, I wouldn't be surprised if they were preparing a DLC surpassing Awakening in scale, maybe like DA2 - Part Deux.

At least, that's what I hope. While the story is engrosing, the combat is amazing, and characters thought out well, I wouldn't want to see DA2 going out with a whimper. The only bad things about it were tiring (and after two playthroughs) mind numbing exploration at times (searching each area, day and night, through three acts for all the codexes and resources), and the equipment had no real individuality. Other than that, it was really great, and its definitely deserving of some amazing DLC, something that will make everyone shut it and admit its actually pretty awesome.

Again, with a romanceable female Qunari. Awesome culture, and very beautiful ladies. It would make for an interesting romance....

And still no word from the devs!!!
Is it so hard to give us an indication be it next week or next year?
Sure you guys are working on a DLC, what is the harm in advertising it? Tell us what it will be about? Three screenshots is hardly anything to go by.
All this keeping everything a secret is getting old!

Well, maybe in agust on GamesCom or (on another earlier / later con)
they'll lift a secret - I wouldn't put it to far past them.

Though e3 isn't over yet, I will not hold my breath for any news about
da related franchise there ;)

They've already confirmed there will be no news at E3 except for ME3.

What i would love more than anything in a future dlc taking place after the games events is seeing the grey warden hero from origins that looks just like him or her from origins if you used the saved game transfer and could even hear the warden talk with hawk. This may be extremely impossible to do but i can still dream!

Or there is gonna be a dlc coming out in about 1 month called zombies of kirkwall and you have to fight off hordes of zombies attacking and you can open up different areas of kirkwall so maybe we will be able too explore more and there is a boss called Mike laidlaw and all the dragon age cast will be there and you can buy weapons from a box and the walls

... Etc.

Everyone wants a qunari female. That's all well and good for Hawke, but I can't help thinking about how... er... disappointing she would find a human lover. He would seem terribly frail to her. Her arms would be the size of his thighs. Etc.

Though it is refreshing to find that some guys at least do not feel threatened by physically powerful women.

I don't know, Bioware isn't very consequent with that. Most of DA DLC was announced a long time before the release and at least one time they just realized the day it should be released, that they didn't know when it will come out and it took another month. Yeah I haven't forgotten that ostagar dlc.

Also with ME2 it was very inconsequent with some dlc just being announced the day it came out and some months before it was released (LotSB for instance).

I certainly hope they won't release the lost years. On the other hand I hope they do, since that was just a HUGE portion of the game missing (yeah... it was not rushed :?) BUT I'm certain they won't release it for free, which they should so I'm back again at they shouldn't. Since it's just a part of the game that feels cut out because they were nailed to the release date, charging for something like that would be the lowest point reachable, so I hope they won't do that.

I'll just wait and see what they'll release and from my point of view in this moment, I won't buy it because I think I'll only think "Well... that should have been in the game in the first place!", like new areas and more diversity in Quests.

So all in all I have the feeling I will be disappointed with whatever they can come up.
Because if it's just the same kind of quest again in the same boring areas ... well that won't impress me either Oo

Well it looks like John Epler is back to encourage his 'enhanced' version of freedom of speech.

Or can't deal with the fact that this game is one Jar Jar Binks short of a Clone Wars movie...

They have to charge for it because XBL and PSN will charge them to release it. "Free DLC" isn't free except for PC (and that's only if it's distributed by EA directly and not through any other platform), it would be sold at a loss for EA/Bioware. I honestly would've liked to see something at least like the Cerberus Network implemented in the Black Emporium (missed opportunity as many have pointed out all over these forums) where micro-level content was given out for free and then you paid for larger add-ons.

As for DLC, well.. "We're not ready to discuss that yet" (learnt that one over on the SWTOR forums).

There's a distinct and noticeable correlation between how much you act like a putz and how much you are warned and/or banned.

There are numerous people who are less-than-favourable towards DA2 who enjoy happy, problem-free posting careers because they understand that this is a discussion forum, and that remaining civil is all we ask.

Oooh that's gotta hurt!
I have to agree with the devs on this, I cringe at how insulting some people are towards these guys.
Surely posting on this thread indicates the desire for more DLC which means you like the game a little bit at least.
Why people who outright hate BioWare and all its employees keep posting here is beyond me.
Sure, I've also been criticising the game but I am anxious for news on new DLC regardless.

Come on people, we may think DA2 is rubbish but let's show the devs some respect. We're all human after all...

If you can't handle criticism for a failed product well, then...

Epler quite clearly decided the direction in which this thread should be headed:

JohnEpler is tired of discussions being hijacked by the same nitwits. Time to use that banhammer.

JohnEpler 11 hour(s) agoI'm fed up with a small group of people deciding to hijack every discussion and drown out any positivity with a massive 'BOY THIS GAME SUCKS AM I RIGHT GUYS' circlejerk.
It's clear from the moderators' comments ( not just Epler's ) that they're not as much interested in listening and responding to feedback as they are about enforcing like-minded, positive behaviour and filtering out negative opinions about their products.

Welcome to EaWare, guys. :innocent:

Criticising the game is one thing, criticising and personal insults towards individuals is another.

Touche, John!

And, strictly off topic here: not enough people use the word "putz" nowadays...I strongly encourage an expansion of it's proper usage, like John just used it.

I'm not here to argue you into liking DA2, nor to try and convince you there's no big conspiracy at play here, but I will say this: Read the thread title and the OP, then read your first comment in the thread, then read John's post. He has a point, doesn't he?

I continue to play the smallest violin in the world for you, Courier Six. You are a treasure.

The rest of you, as always, please continue discussing the game and your feelings on it in a constructive manner as most of you are more than capable of doing. Whether you enjoyed the game or didn't, this is a discussion forum and as such, we encourage open and constructive discussion.

And now, let's pull this back on-topic, please.
