Except that ME2 was step down from ME1 and several hundred Mass Relays behind the greatness of ME1. ME2 was a very good game but not up to par with the original title.

Eh, ME2 was much better than ME1 in my opinion.

It would be one thing if item packs and appearance packs were released to provide new and exciting content. The way dlc was handled in me2 and DA2 was profiteering. Strip all variety and choice out of the game and have the consumer pay extra for the expierience that they were expecting from the first game.

Its the same thing they are doing with modern warfare 3. You can play the game with no fee, but if you want the whole game you will pay a monthly fee.

I expected better of Canadians.

What does what contry they are from matter, money is money, and they are part of EA so that's all that really matters.

I told myself I was not buying the DA2  item pack, but I did  for the mage. I hated the mage gear in the game so I brought it. Now when A real dlc comes I buy it with the warriors item pack , because I like playing as a female two handed warrior the best. Truthfully they could had just put that stuff in the game, but there is suckers like me that would buy it. Bioware might have recyled items in Da2 on purpose just so a sucker like me would buy it.

Hmm, seeing as this seems to have gone off-topic... what do you think the next DLC will be about? Something among the line of Awakening? Or maybe just a story DLC like Leliana's Song/Witch Hunt? I'd settle for a good story DLC, but an expansion would be brilliant.

I have my fingers crossed for an expansion. If the cliffhanger gets even somewhat resolved, it'll be that much easier to remain patient for DA3.

If it's just a single quest line, then I'm not going to bother. It's just not worth the money.

According to this article www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-03-11-dragon-age-ii-dlc-beefier-than-origins the DLC's will be focused on Hawke.

I'm kind of excited for DLC, myself. There's a lot of stuff I'd like to see, so I'll just wait for whatever comes along.

Not sure I want an after-the-end expansion unless it's a further lead-in for the next full game, and I kind of like the current mystery about "where da heroes be goin'?" I do hope they make something of that rather than just sort of hand-wave it away. One of the big things I like about the whole Dragon Age setting is that there's a sense of a rather ordinary human (and non-human) culture floating awkwardly on top of this vast depth of really dark and hideous magic/history/philosophy. They keep touching on that deep, underlying current, and I'm looking forward to the moments when the waters must close over your head and you've no choice left but to swim with all your might and hope you reach daylight before your lungs give out.

Have they mentioned whether the DLC will take place after DAII or slotted somewhere in the middle (eg. the missing years...)?

Well, the original ads for DA2 stated that it would occur over the course of 10 years, but the game only covered 7..... hmmm - or would that be an expansion instead of a DLC :D

@Lady: Varric's interview happens at the 10th year. He hid in Kirkwall for 3 years after Hawke left.

I think players would see DLCs around the beginning, middle or end of fall. Not tight now...to early

Your view of the dragon age universe is deep.

thing is I can see post game DLC and in Game DLC, afterall, say if you becamse the Viscount, why did you leave? you ran a city, had what was left of the circle and mages with you. that is a huge unanswered question why would Hawke leave after fighting so hard for position in Kirkwall?

Maybe the dlc is act IV with the last three years. I was most of the way through act 3 and only 7 years had passed. I do wish it was connected to game rather than a seperate mini-adventure. (unless its expansion type like Awakenings...)

This is insane. First they make a great game, then they sell us the great game, then they're like "YOU WANT MORE? MUAHAHAHAHAH!" And they're all hiding the DLC and we'lre all like Where is it?

So mean.

yea, I am excited about Dragon Age II dlc but they better hurry. This Fall is stacked to the brim with great titles (Elder Scrolls V, Batman Arkham City, Dark Souls, The Witcher 2 (xbox), Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, Halo CE Anniversary Edition, Rage, Assassins Creed Revelations, Bastion, Saints Row The Third, etc) and the Spring looks just as awesome (Mass Effect 3, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, TC Ghost Recon Future Soldier, etc). I won't have time for DA2 dlc if they wait too long to release it.

As long as siblings and LI's at least are mentioned I'll be a happy Hawke. At the end Varric says so-and-so your LI stayed by his side.' I'd like to see them by my Hawke's side.
And speaking of tall tale tellin' dwarves, more Varric as narrator please!
If they do the LI thing they have a lot of VO to do and if they do both siblings that's even more.
So I say take your time and make it juicy like a big adventure hamburger with fried and raw onions and maybe some deep plot flavored ketchup I'm hungry and leaving now bye.
