I totally agree with this.If I need something to bridge the gap between DA2 and Skyrim, I may just have to buy another game that will last that long.

Good point.  I'm not sure I'll have DA2 on my drive once Skyrim drops.  I got two drives in a RAID 0, so I went with smaller drives to have multiples.  Not sure I'll have room.  <_<<_<<_<

I am pretty sure Patch 1.03 [aka the patch that DAO-izes DA2] has to hit the consoles before they can release DLCs.

In all honesty, there is probably a good bit of DLC already ready to be released... just waiting for patch 1.03 to be done for the consoles.

The consoles already got that patch, it was the PC version that had to wait this time. Console update 1.02 is PC update 1.03, unless I misread Luke's post ages ago to another forum member about that.

At least now we know one of the reasons there hasn't been an approx timeline given for the DLC... waiting on tender hooks now for when they finally release it.

Yes. Patch 1.03 is the PC version whereas consoles are on 1.02 but it's the same patch - I try to simply call it Patch 2 to avoid that confusion when I can.

[sidenote: it's 1.03 on PC because there was a tiny update to fix some very minor things a few days after launch that were PC/Mac only fixes]

Nah I'm not getting any of those games except Skyrim. Next year, the only games I'm gonna buy are ME3, Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. I'm waitin for ME2 ultimate edition as well. Any nice DA2 dlc I might get, but a DA2 expansion I'll surely get. Ironically, the longer the wait for DA2 DLC's may be a good thing since I don't want Bioware to rush it, a longer wait means better quality supposedly.

Why patch skills, I noticed my force mage I noticed my foritude when down to 50 from a 100. if you make changes make stuff give more gold or a quest to find 20 raven feathers why make skill tree adjustment this late in the game

The force system (knockbacks) was tweaked and that skill was updated to reflect that. Relatively speaking, the +50 is probably better now than +100 was before, at least for the majority of the game.

Is the updated hi-res pack for the item DLCs still coming (maybe you're waiting for the next DLC to have a Day One hi-res update for both, say yes)? I'm probably going to get the "all" pack in my next billing cycle, but I had hoped hi-res would drop before buying it.

I haven't heard anything that would suggest this idea was scrapped so I assume you will see them within the ominous 'soon' unit of time.

 yes I know that, but Hawke still had power as even a minor noble in Kirkwall, and as Champion.   it's like working your way up into management at work getting  high in the ranks after 7 years and going, I'd rather leave and start over??  the  main point is why did Hawke leave? we can theorize that it is because Hawke knew the Chantry and it's army was coming. could be Varric lying his  butt off.  so what is the truth what happened?

Similar price point to LotSB, much better reusability.  (Far better than BW's forum code applicability...and this would be hyperlinked if I could understand BW's obtuse forum code...)
