Will it be like mass effect 2 with none on fly? Or like dragon age 2 where you can change you only mostly or me1 where you can fully change and do any thing.

It will be more like ME2's inventory system.

OH sure, DA2 is so great you can shed an full plate mail set of armor and don another right in the middle of battle......yeah, that is so realistic. I really prefer the ME2 style of inventory especially if they give more choices.
The only real issue with ME2 was not enough choices, and addons.

It's going to be like ME2. There's an inventory, just no inventory screen when you pause the game. Saw it in a screencap.

@mcsupersport

I don't recall this thread saying DA2 was great, just wondering which system ME3 will be most like.

At any rate, the sentiment in these forums is definitely not DA2 worship.

I liked the idea of the ME2 system, but it sorely needed more options. And the squadmates should wear unique armor in battle, and have a unique casual outfit.

Why though? I though gaming is advancing not limiting us more.

There is no inventory system in ME2. There is pre-level load out.

And why does "more" automatically mean advancing?

It will be neither. It won't be as cluttered as ME1 because of less items, but have meaningful items this time around. That's how I see this will turn out.

It's what RPG fanatics/traditionalists were brought up to believe. Moar of everything must always be better. Even if it's more mundane, repetitive crap.

What a bunch of sh*t. This is why Bioware is leaning more toward casual, mainstream gameplay, because everyone is so afraid of stats and determining why one number is more imoportant than another. Just make into Halo and be done with it.

This going to be the argument that finally turns the RPG genre into the Action/Adventure genre.

First it's "ARR PEE JEES Have too many itemz!"

Then it's "TOO MUCH TALKINGGGG!!!"

And eventually it'll be "TOO MUCH CHOICES!"

And that people, will be the extinction of the "RPG". Thankyou for your contribution to the eventual fixation of this genre, Fluffyscarf, god bless you.

no, I much rather have an in depth load out and customization.

Please. You can have the most complex inventory system in the world... and still make it a pre-level load-out by making the carrying capacity of a person realistic, instead of letting them pull a rocket launcher and extra suit of armour out of thin air.

"Too many items" is a valid concern, Gibb. Useless clutter on the scale of ME1 is the perfect example of what NOT to do with an inventory system. ME2 was very close to an ideal minimalist system, where you had a few categories with multiple clearly distinct weapons in each category. Every weapon had its place, with some players swearing by their Shurikens and others loving the Tempest, etc. The only thing ME2 lacked, however, was individual personalization of each weapon.

I dont' care much for inventory if I have a huge amount of weapons and mods and armour and upgrades etc.

That in itself is the inventory, its just not accessible 100% of the time for browsing. I would like some additional ways to earn credits though. The limited amount in ME2 was frustrating.
