Garrus is talking more during the skirmishes with Cerberus in the EA demo with Jesse Houston than he typically did all game in ME2.

As a matter of fact, Liara is not female, since her species is monogender... Male and female means nothing to her people. She even says that in the original ME, on the Normandy.

Still, you are correct: His comment makes NO SENSE whatsoever.

She goes by 'she' and has babies. She may be monogendered, but that gender is female. /ot

Straight from the horse's mouth... Male or female have no real meaning; If you're interested, listen to her explanation on the subject.

What 'she' means is that the Asari make no distinction between male and female. While humans come to expect certain things from either sex the Asari do not, in other words all they see are Human, Salarian, Krogan and not male Human, female Salarian and female Krogan. She is of course aware of her gender as female because of her capacity to give birth. Wonder if there will be any banter between Liara and Samara????

If there's one thing Dragon Age II got right it was the party banter. There was loads of it and it was quite enjoyable - I think it's something that a lot of critics picked up on in their reviews. Doing the same thing for Mass Effect 3 is a no brainer, I think.

Definitely. I think both Dragon Age games were superb in that regard, they really put a lot of thought into how each character would interact with the other characters.

Squad banter looks great... AND! I love how it seems that the story and the action blend into each other even more than they used to. Love that.

I noticed this too! they were suggesting ideas to take down the enemies...AWESOME! :D I love it being more interactive with each other. However....I noticed that whoever plays the demo seems to LOVE shooting at the d@mn shield even when its not doing damage....Seriously, use Liaras singularity or SOMETHING.

HAHA, I laughed when I read that.  Both me and my bf were watching the game demo going "this guy (who's playing the demo on screen) sucks!!"  We both started saying "stop shooting the bloody sheild" and repeating it until the dude stopped.

To contribute to the topic, though, I do enjoy the squad banter.  I get such a kick out of hearing their comments.  I want more squad banter more like DAO and DA2.

This.

Except I would be disappointed if they took all of the squad dialogue out of cutscenes and poured it all into the banter during exploration/combat.

One of the best squadmate-dependent mission scenes from ME2 was Zaeed's reunion with the Blue Suns commander (during Garrus' recruitment)... if Bioware squeezed a short, unique cutscene for every squadmate into each main mission, it'd definitely make replaying each level much more rewarding.

I kinda assumed that was because they wanted to demonstrate how the shields work against Shep. Being a demo, n'all. I did have to think about that a bit first, mind you. :D

And I really want Garrus to say, "Callibrations, COMPLETE!" when he does a head shot.

I hope the squaddies have conversations like in DA:O. A lot of those were really funny too!

I noticed party banter in the demo too and it sounded really good. Thumbs up for BioWare in that regard.

Bioware were experimenting for ideas on ME3 through ME2's DLC missions, and the banter between Shep/Liara had a ton of positive feedback. That's just a result of that.

I especially loved the "omnigel" comment when we were waiting for Liara's hack to work.  Something along the lines of "remember when you could just slap omnigel on something."  And Liara says "that upgrade made a lot of people unhappy."

I also like Liara and Sheps banter during the spacecar/Tennekont chase scene.

I was laughing so much I almost got my Shep killed there   =)    I love banter. That is something I really miss when playing ME and ME2. They got so much great banter in DA:O and DA2. I will be very very happy if they bring banter to ME3      :wizard:

I like this, but I hope they don't go overboard, Ace Combat 5-style.
