They would not do ME3 justice if the Citadel did not have a critical role against the Reapers.

Next stop after Earth for the Reapers. Considering that we've seen video with the Salarian Council Member aboard the Normandy, though, it may fall.

Most likely there will be a battle at the Citadel, at the demo they said the Reapers are working there way south ala they have just gone threw the batarian systems and going threw Earth and going north. The Citadel is North-west of Local Cluster.

I'm actually going to be pretty hesitant if the Citadel is going to be in ME3. With the whole, "I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite store on the Citadel" playing at almost every store in the Wards. God I hope I can use the "Fighting against the Collectors Reapers is not cheap" and "would you rather die than give me a discount?" excuse.

I could see the Citadel "cutting" itself off from the rest of a the galaxy before an attack and putting its impregnable outer shell to good use. Maybe a mission could be lifting a Reaper siege before they starve the inhabitants into opening the station. Or it could serve as a base of operations, but I doubt that.

I half-expect the Citadel to be used to travel to Reaper HQ out in dark space.
