So far it looks like sopldiers only get four guns when they got 5 in ME2. Does the menu scroll down or will I have to choose between his/her pistol and heavy weapon?

Good. Its about time. Soldiers have the same number of abilities as every other class so why should it have more guns?

As far as I remember, soldiers will be the only ones that have 100% full time access to all weapons, but all classes now no longer have gun-restrictions on which types they can use. So while all other classes will only be able to carry x number on them at any given time, Soldiers can carry as many or few as they wish...

Someone feel free to corect me if I'm wrong. I'm sleepy!

looks like the soldier loses one slot from 5 guns and the other classes lose two. The bonus weapon you picked up in ME2 now means NOTHING.

Just like it did sometimes when you moved from ME to ME2 with one of the other classes who picked up one of the weapons they didn't usually get as a bonus at the start of the game so I don't understand the issue of complaining about this. Most likely the same will apply to any 'bonus' power you selected during ME2.

Doesn't mean to say there won't be a similar thing in ME3 though. How bout waiting till you play the game before making such silly rants?

Yeah, I think they just cut it back for the demo version. It was confirmed, again, in that live chat that accompained the big demo that Soldier get all the class slots wheras others are restricted - so, while they no longe rhave the monopoly on Assault Rifles, they do still have the full five slots :)

Three? Lame. The vanguard and infiltrator should get four since now they're only as effective as the pure casting classes.

*facepalm*
Please read my previous comment about waiting before making such stupid observations.

1 thing to point out that I just realised no one has mentioned so far.
The 3 is from a choice of ANY of the weapons. We didn't have that in ME2.
In ME the Infiltrator could only effectively use the Pistol and the Sniper Rifle unless you had one of the other 2 weapons as a bonus skill.
In ME2 the Infiltrator had 3 with SMG added to the fold.

I am guessing the numbers aren't accounting for the Heavy Weapons, I don't recall if it has been confirmed if they are still in ME3 or not yet. We've seen in-game footage of a soldier using an SMG, so that would account to them having 5.

As long as I don't HAVE to carry around fifteen bajillion guns on my back during the game I don't care.

- They can give me just two guns and a pile of modifications and I'll be happy.

Yeah I saw something like grenade launcher but I think it was just the concussive shot. Maybe someone could get a link to that video ( what ever it was ) so we could confirm that?

All classes will get access to all weapons and can change their loadout at the ship

But I would design it with a cap to their size and what you can carry into missions..
Ex. adept, sentinel, engineer get 4 slots, vanguard and infiltrator 5, soldier 6 or more BUT
- pistol, smg take 1 slot
- ar, sniper, shotgun take 2
- heavy is free

So as a sentinel you can take pistol + smg + 1 of the other 3 OR 2 bigger.
Inflitrator smg / pistol + 2 of the ar / sniper / shotgun.
