*Slight Mass Effect 2 Spoilers*

After recruiting Jack in Mass Effect 2, Shepard receives the following E-mail:

Title: (Untitled)

From: (Error, Invalid Sender Name)

Hey Shepherd [sic] heard I have you to thank you for
getting out of Purgatory (sent a ship to round me up, but they didn't
weapons-check good enough)! I'm gonna carve your name instead of mine
into my next victim as thanks, got anyone you need dead (haha)? You did
take a shot at me though on my way out so I have to kill you, you know
how it goes. Dad taught me that you let anybody hurt you, they get ideas
so you make sure to send a message, not like I'm sending now, though!
See you around, the people who live here are coming back and it's
showtime! Look around for your name, I'll make sure you find it before I
find you! Billy…

Do you think we will see Billy return in ME3 Perhaps as DLC or an Assignment?

I think it would be really interesting if we got a DLC  where Aria requests your help on Omega after a series of Murders takeplace with your name carved into the Victims. You're then led on a series of missions to investigate the murders and stop Billy. Whilst trying to lure him out of hiding, one of your squad members could possibly be taken hostage (although that would be very cliche).

No.
Believe it or not, there are problems in the Mass Effect universe that are below Shepards pay grade.

Yeah it'd be much better if he just walks into our path so we can dispense his sorry behind quickly ^_^

I mentioned him several times. I want him back....It's not like BioWare hasn't turned small things into big ones before....look at Cerberus.

Besides......HE PROMISED.

If he returns to screw around with my Shepard. I'd make Grunt "take away his pride". A krogan taking away your pride.. Damn, that's just traumatizing.

Whilst i agree that it would seem odd that THE Commander Shepard is hunting down a Serial Killer. I think it would be interesting due to the suspision caused by the name carvings.

Also, It wouldn't be the first time Shep has done something that is lower then his 'pay grade' - Helping Gianna on Illium would be an example.

I take it that you're gonna don the Soldier and be Omni-Shanking the hell out of Cerberus and anyone else? If so, pound it!

Edit: ^^ What the shiiiiiz! Lol. Total Rape annihilation right there. They guy's getting "pounded" to the death. Freaky.

Omni-Shanking is now an official name for melee attacks, regardless of your class.

I would appreciate it, if you guys could cool it on the off-topic trolling please :crying:.

I know not everyone would care about this thread, but i would love to see some of the flavour e-mails from ME2 have developed Assignments that then give Closure to their stories.

"If you're gonna hit it, might as well hit it HARD".

Storming up to a **** 30ft away from you in all means to just try and Omni-Shank him is a heavy risk... but the priiiiiiize

But on-topic, If some of the smaller characters were to be brought back in ME 3, that would be nice for non canon side missions. It would interesting as to what happens with them. Bioware did say that actions from the past games have their repercussions represented in ME 3. So I wouldn't be suprised if a Thorian was apart of a side mission on a remote world >.>

If he shows up, he goes on the front line.

Billy: Hey, Shepard! Remember me?
Shepard: *tosses him an assault rifle*
Billy: *looks at it with confusion*
Shepard: Welcome to the Army of the Milky Way. Report to Zaeed Massani.
Billy: *still confused*
Vega: You heard the lady!
Billy: Right. I mean, yes, ma'am.

Why? So we can spend the entire game doing pointless assignments?
I'm fine with doing recruitment missions/loyalty missions all game thanks.

I got a chill sent down my spine when I read that email first time.

I doubt that it's gonna be an assignement. Remember, Jack was obligatory. Each single player has freed Billy and each single one is gonna deal with him. He won't play a large role in the plot, but he's gonna be there, lurking around the corners.

It was always my understanding that Assignments were optional and often contained self-contained flavour stories. Such as Drinks with Dr. Chakwas or Wrex's Family Armor. Even if it wasn't a full assignment but just a short appearance.

Another small flavour-appearance i would love to see in ME3 would be Talitha, perhaps we could see her working at a Shop and taking control of her life.

Me too! When i first read that e-mail, it was incredible. I'd just love to see that little story tied off somehow.

I think could be done as a very short sidequest, where this Billy guy walks up and attacks Shepard. Cue fight, and done. Other things have started with a character walking up to you before. Remember ME1, with the Normandy surprise inspection, or the 10th street Reds guy who spots you on your way to Chora's Den?

Wrex happens to be a main character, and if you find the armor for him there isn't even a need to be high paragon to convince him to stand down, it's part of the plot.
Chakwas is a secondary character, and her mission was walking into Afterlife and buying alcohol.
What you are suggesting is to bring a character that is unreleated to any of the main or secondary characters and develop a whole bunch of assignments out of that.
Seriously:

Anderson: Shepard we need you to stop the Reapers.
Shepard: Sorry, I'm investigating a bunch of murders in this one district on Omega, like 5 people died.
Anderson: But Shepard, the Reapers are killing millions every day...
Shepard: This is more important then Earth Anderson, he send me an e-mail!
Anderson:...
