That they made blue the most predominant colour of the game again, just like in Mass Effect 1.

Now  we can endlessly debat over this subject but if have to say that i prefferd the blue  Mass Effect 1 style, over  the orange in mass effect 2.

Indeed, it's an awesome choice to have blue hud. I was really hoping they would do it.

Agreed. Much prefer the blue myself.

I would've liked pink or purple but blue is chic, enough.

The orange was boring, but the new blue and red scheme work amazingly.

Blue happens to be my favorite color, I'm happy with the changes, orange wasn't too bad though.

Well, looking at it symbolically...

Blue is Paragon, in ME1 you were a (mostly) law abiding military soldier
Red(Orange) is Renegade, in ME2 you acted outside the law and worked for a shady organization.

In ME3 you're supposedly back with the Alliance, so the return to blue makes perfect sense.

Strange enough, orange is my favorite color yet I'm liking the blue better.

This. Plus Blue is a more calming color and fits the ME universe better in my opinion. Less flashy and all in-you-face sci-fish and feels a bit more like its pulling you into the world and not being a distracting HUD.

I think it was orange in Mass Effect 2 because Shepard was under Cerberus. With Shepard free of, and also hunted down by, Cerberus, it's back to blue again.

I see what you did there, BioWare.

I personally thought they'd be rolling with a third color (probably purple or green), but blue is my favorite color so I can dig the return to it, along with the small injection of red.

Wouldn't that just set people on edge? It's the universally recognised colour for danger.

Why can't Bioware simply allow players to customise the HUD colours and end this discussion? Like in the first Deus Ex, they have a couple of dozen colour schemes for the game's menu display and in-game HUD display. When I start/restart a new game, I would spend five minutes going through all the colours to find one I'm happy with.

Personally, I think because the change to blue is symbolic of Shepard being out of Cerberus and being a Spectre again. And the Council actually doing stuff for him/her.

Plus arbitrary customisation like that might (not saying it will) ruin the game's aesthetics. Like with the hats in Team Fortress 2.

This, but if its out of our hands I'm definitely glad it was blue. I just wasn't feeling the orange whenever I played ME2.

I did feel a slight tingle of nostalgia on seeing it, but while I hope the blue stays I reckon the HUD still change many times over again before release.

It's blue again since Shepard is once again an Alliance marine

Oh, yeah, blue is nice, but maybe they should have experimented with black as well.

I wanted green.

Can we customize out Menu screen color like in Crysis Warhead?

I wanted purple, but blue is an acceptable alternative
