I noticed while I was watching demo that there are para/rene bars plus influence bar on squad members sheets, so, is it going to work like in KotOR 2 and Dragon Age 2? I'm not sure if I like this or not - if I understood it correctly from what I seen in the first place. Something tells me that I'm probably wrong about this assumption, but still I can't find any other valid explanation for squad member para/rene + influence bar. Apologies if there's already topic on this, I did try to find it - but if there's not, any feedback would be appreciated.

It'll be interesting if it does remain in there but part of me wonders if when doing the squad screen layout they just did shepard's then copied it to the others putting Liara and Garrus in there swapping their powers and stuff in but forgetting to remove the paragon/renegade meter.

If it does remain, it'll be interesting if it accounts for Shepard influencing people like Kaidan and Garrus in the previous games with their meters showing some sort of bonus depending on choices made in the past

as long as its not based on the friendship. i dont want to have to push a character to an extreme end of the spectrum to continue the relationship with that character.

If they continue it should work like they did for Garrus. Whether or not you treated Garrus like a friend or a footstool was irrelevant, he merely remembered your actions and incorporated it to his personality. If you played ME1 as a paragon he is unsurprised you're merciful to Sidonis, if you played renegade he fully expected you to let him shoot Sidonis and responds appropriately.

I'm just curious as to why they need a bar to show it. It should be obvious how friendly you are with a character based on their past conversations. It was obvious to me in KOTOR that Bastila didn't like my evil Revan, was jealous of my good Revan, and was absolutely head over heels in love with my sarcastic Revan. Then again, to be honest I love my sarcastic Revan too.
