People deserve recognition for their hard work.

I do. But admittedly because I hope there's something good at the end. Oh, OCD you...Oblivious wrote...

I like Clint Mansell. Can't wait to see what he'll do for the endings... Because I'm assuming there's an ending where the entire galaxy ends up being destroyed, or at least where Shepard dies, right?

... but on the point, I loved ME2's epic credit song... BUT, nothing quite made me put the controller down and reflect on my long, epic journey with my teammates, contemplating all the decisions I made, the battles I fought, the sacrifices I endured, like "The Faunts - M4 Part II" in ME1. The haunting sci-fi beats, the lucid vocals, the phenomenally well-fit pacing of the song, the highly appropriate lyrics...
"Where will you be
When this is through?"
"If all goes as planned
Will you redeem
My life again?"
"And I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own"
Totally sold me that this game wasn't just Shepard's story, but the story of everyone, every life he touched. He needed them to fight alongside him, to give him strength. It was his fears and worries as he fought an unspeakable, all-powerful evil.
Would Ashley live to love him in the end? Would Wrex survive to fight beside him? What would they do once it was over and they had to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives? What does a soldier do when the war is over? What sort of home, family, or friends would he return to, if he had a home, friends, or family to return to at all?
The ending song drove it all in, reinforced all the themes that made Mass Effect great. ME2 was a superior game, but the ending theme of ME1 was so much better. It wasn't joyful. It wasn't triumphant. It was hesitant, uncertain, afraid, and desperate. Just like Shepard's battle against the Reapers.
ME3, if it's going to truly bring this series to an explosive close, needs something just as powerful. I actually want something more personal, more intimate, more meaningful, not something explosive and grandiose. The conclusion is here. The battle fought and won. I want the ending to be a reflection, a look back, at just how far we the gamers, and the developers, have come through this long trilogy of suffering, loss, betrayal, redemption, love, and triumph.

For the final credits song, I would like to hear something new but in the spirit of M4 Part 2.
Many people look forward to hearing the credits song such same inspiring as M4 part 2.

But seriously, just compare the two, witch one is more epic?

I liked the Faunts - M4 part II, but the ME2's credit song was more epic, more suited for the game. Still listening to it day by day. I hope in ME3 they will give us the most Epic credit song ever

Oh, no doubt, ME2's credit song is more epic... but my opinion is it's also more generic. It's grandiose and orchestral and all that... but to me, ME1 and ME2 thrived on the little details, the relationships, the communities, the cultures and romances and friendships. And ME1's "M4 Part II" was vastly more unique, pensive, varied, and emotionally connected to the world and teammates within the game.
I actually don't want an "epic" final song. I mean, I do... but I want one that has a lot of quieter, slower, softer touches, something intimate. The game is over. The battle is won. You wouldn't end Lord of the Rings with a pulse-pounding, action-driving energy song... you end it with a song that makes you stop, relax, and reflect on the epic journey between friends and allies.
That's what I want.

Or another brilliant one from Faunts, "It Hurts Me All The Time". I might like this one better, I think the singing needs to be in the end song.
Good song too, but i like Part 1, because it pays homage to BOTH ME1 and ME2...the style and tempo (and band) of ME1, but the lyric-less and moodier ME2 song.
