It's not the "same exact armor". It's two sets of quite different armor.Fiery Phoenix wrote...
Because they're the same person? That is to say that they're wearing the same exact armor minus the helmet?
I don't know about you, but it can't possibly get any more obvious than this to me. We know James is one of the very first squadmates to show up, and this scene does take place at the beginning.
So, this guy must be James

Why can't the guy just be some random, nameless Alliance soldier? Maybe Vega gets introduced later.

Another generic boring male human! That makes three of them in the series so far.

Yes, everybody concedes that two entirely outfits can be used.Sir Ulrich Von Lichenstien wrote...

It would be unprecedented, though, for one of those outfits to be a generic uniform. Grunt's AAP2 outfit was drastically different from his vanilla outfits, but none of them were the generic Krogan Berserker or Blood Pack Warrior armor: that'd be a better comparison to this situation.
Also, I realize it's OT, but the mutilation of the word "Liechtenstein" in your username is really starting to bug me.

If Vega has a british accent, I want him to be a romance option..... :3

Wonder how he's holding a Widow sniper rifle... lore says it shouldn't really be possible for a regular soldier (the Widow's description is pretty clear on this)
Legion can carry it because he's a synthetic machine who's body can withstand the force the weapon unleashes when fired.
Shepard can carry it only because she / he has cybernetic implants from the Lazarus Project that allow her to also withstand the tremendous force it unleashes.
Though I suppose the soldier himself could have cybernetic implants as well (though we were also under the impression this was incredibly rare for humans due to the incredible costs associated with it).
Just a minor quibble.. .but still...
