This would be SOOOOO epic.

But what if Daro'Xen takes over the Geth?

Actually, **** Quarians, Geth are epic, Tali doesn't have to like it.

I'm expecting something like The Fifth Element.

I watched the movie again, and it hit me that the time it takes for the reapers to come back around is the exact same amount of time From The Fifth Element for evil to come and wipe out Earth according to a mural in some ruins with a prophecy.

So, some sort of humanoid weapon capable of destroying them is what I predict will happen.

The "Luke, I am your father" moment will come 2/3 of the way through when Shepard finds out that he is actually Keanu Reeves!!!

Reapers soil themselves... galaxy is saved... roll credits :)

You find out that the Reapers forgot to recharge their batteries when they reached the milky way.
One theory is that you find out what was causing the star to go dwarf so quickly from ME2 and then Shepard leads all the Reapers to the star and cause a Super Nova wiping out all traces of Shepard and the Reapers

They're not necessarily too powerful. The Reaper strategy hinged on taking out the galaxy's leaders in one fell swoop and shutting down the relay network to prevent travel between systems. With the element of surprise taken away, technology derived from Sovereign, and the ability to unify into a giant fleet, the odds are leaning a lot more in favor of the house.

Perhaps fully beating them will take 4 games or perhaps we can't... just survive.

Maybe Dark Energy has something to do with the Reapers, perhaps it is their weakness.

The motherships of the quarian/geth fleet merge together like a bastardized megazord to form a star wars dyson sphere and deathstar the ever living crap out of the reapers.

Destroying the Charon mass relay seems like a perfectly viable option to me, there are millions humans living offworld, and the human race could survive the destruction of Earth.

99.8% of all humans are on earth, the human race would become extinct. In contrast there is around 11.8 billion humans on earth and around 6 million humans off-world. I made a post a long time ago adding together all the populations of all human worlds (source was a canon comic featuring the collectors and Aria) but I can't find it again...Still that's about how I remember it.

6 million humans would have more than enough genetic diversity to support a viable population.  according to Toba Caatastrophe theory, the total population of the human race was reduced to less than 15,000 people after a supervolcanic eruption in Indonesia, and yet, we're still here.  Earth once had a much lower population than many of it's colonies do in mass effect, and now they are much better equipped to survive.

We had collected all the intel we needed in the first 2 ME games. We can kill them. It is a big sacrafice to kill one but we can do it. The prothens had left us all of there tech. Like Vigle said. When the protheans found out about the reapers they were to late. But we have there gifts of survival. The Citadel is a mass relay but its the only one they can use. The races now know to evacuate at the first sign of the reapers. Shepard can understand prothean and he can decifer hidden messages left by them. In mass effect 2 we learned that the reapers can make entire races bend to there command. But they can be broken. They can be crushed. we have a half of the geth, the humans, salarians, krogans, asari, rachni, turians, drell, volus, hanar, elcor, and Quorians. With all of the races that they learned to tame. If all the races band to gether. With all of the Knowledge we have gathered. We can kill the reapers. And brake the cycle FOREVER.

well, I actually can see this happening

So can I, remember the Haestrom mission in ME2 ? Maybe the Quarian's data will give you the means to create a supernova or a black hole, killing hordes of Reapers at the cost of one or more star systems. Hell, Look what Shepard did in Arrival just to delay them.

However you beat them, I don't think there's any way it's going to be ship-to-ship or with boarding parties (you'd need an army of Shepards....OMG THAT'S IT, THEY'RE GOING TO CLONE HIM :P) and I wouldn't be surprised if you have to choose to save entire worlds at the cost of others.

It took a long time, and we would lose our position in the Mass Effect galaxy as a superpower - we would likely be cast out of the council and not have any influence on galactic politics. The Batarians (assuming they aren't all indoctrinated) would likely seize opportunity to attack humanity. Other species would be unable to assist since they are recovering from the reaper invasion...So yeah, we'd be screwed, royally.

You know - this thread has convinced me that fighting the Reapers is hopeless.

I am going to submit to the inevitable.
