still no official word.
although i recently talked to a buddie of mine at gamemania who said that the netherlands likely wont get a collectors edition. This due to problems with the mass effect 2 collectors edition when it was released in the netherlands, if anyone remembers. The CE of ME2 in the netherlands had problems at customs therefore it wasent in stores till about 5 days after the regular edition was released, and from what I was told EA wants to avoid a repeat performance. so the netherlands will instead just get the normal edition.
he claims this info was sent via their head office straight from EA.

I have no idea if it is real, but that is what I was told at gamemania here in rotterdam.
if this turns out to be genuine then what little respect i had for EA (which isnt much) will go out the window. that said... i'm too much of a fan to not get it so i'll likely import it from the UK.

bleh ik hou niet zo van nederlands. saaie taal

Well I guess if you're willing to pay for the CE you don't mind that Bol.com charges the all too common $1=€1 prices. I still haven't decided on whether I want to get the ME3 CE after getting ME2 and ME1 for 15 and 7.50 euros respectively, but I (as a proper dutchman : P) am definitely reluctant to pay more than I should have to pay. So I probably won't be getting the CE from bol, but maybe if it's released on another webshop for a more reasonable price I'll reconsider... having said that, it still has to appear for us dutchies.

And on the subject of the dutch language, I personally don't really like it (no wonder since I live close to Amsterdam), but especially in movies and most music (perhaps drs. P makes dutch seem not impossible to use in music) it just sounds not as convincing as, for example, english.

As mentioned previously in another thread, the CE is a Game.co.uk exclusive in the UK, which is why you won't find it on Amazon.co.uk.

Aye, it's why I ordered it via Game.co.uk . They send to the Netherlands though.

I have mixed experiences with ordering out of the UK - DA2, via Play.com took me 2 weeks to arrive after it was sent -.

At the moment I find it highly unlikely that Dutch retailers will get CE's anyway. For example, the AC: R CE has been available at bol.com not much later than at other countries. If we Dutchmen would be able to get CE's for ME3 by local retailers, we would've been able to by now.

I suggest you play it safe for now and just pre-order it at GAME. Heb ik ook gedaan.

I doubt it will be sold in the Netherlands. Then again, I don't really care. I'm not even sure if I'm getting ME3 at all.

En Nederlands... Tsja, ik ben er totaal niet aan gewend om hier op BSN Nederlands te praten, dus ik houd het maar op Engels.

Pretty sure bol will have it, they always have collectors editions and pre order bonuses.

What? If all copies were delayed like that, then pray tell how did I get my ME2 CE right on schedule in my mailbox from Freerecord and this is literally the first time I've heard about it?

Besides pretty much no store I know of even lists the reguler edition, let alone the collectors one. That tells me that the stores haven't even been contacted yet by EA about ME3, which in turn indicates that someone in the EU department from EA likely screwed up by forgetting to send out a couple of emails.
Remember that this isn't exactly the first of such screw ups. Anyone recall the abysmal EA->stores communications when it came to DA2's signature edition? Or pretty much any sort of communication from EA to the stores in the last few years?

I received my ME2 CE on release day, I haven't heard about these problems. Now, the Signature Edition of Dragon Age 2, that's a different story. If EA goes that route they can go, well, can't say that here, but I'm sure you understand what they can do to themselves.

Well, there's always eBay, so I'm not too worried.
