Isn´t that a Holographic fist Shepard uses to punch that Cerberus Operative with.
Sentinels new melee?

Yeah, Omni BLADE. But that´s a fist.
You my dear, have just brilliantly shown AND supplement your raison against the omni-blades appearance like normal argumentation would have never achieved.
This is no sarcasm, joke or insult at all.
I thank you.
And old news are old

Soldier. Earlier they said each class would have its own special "wind-up" melee, so far they've only showed the soldier's.
That is footage of ME3 that was leaked and not intended to be shown at E3 due to lack of polish. Notice shepard missing a targeting reticle? So, no, its not a soldier and that's not a blade.

Have they mentioned if all melee attacks going to use omni tool regardless of class, or is there going to be differentiation of biotics as well? I'd love it if adepts/vanguards took a page out of Jack's/Samara's/Liara's book and actually showed off their biotics once in a while.
Soldier class will use the omniblade
Engineer class will use the omni flame thrower
and Adapt will use the mass effect blade
It's in the confirmed features article.
My guess is the infiltrators will get the omnitool punch (Kasumi already does it)
And the rest will get different variations on that.

As the Shep in the video also uses some biotic attack, it probably is a sentinel, as Argusrho said. But the omni-fist could use a little work, i think.

Well, that'll teach me to actually watch the video instead of assuming which one you're talking about and putting my foot in my mouth. Apologies.
Also, I saw that video already and didn't even notice it was different from the omni-blade. But as has been said, this footage was not supposed to be shown at E3, so it could be just a different animation of the omni-blade.

The "omni" everything naming convention is getting a little annoying. Can we just call it a punch?
But, but, ... but it is supposed to by a blade thrust
Somehow I must think of that one quote from DAO when thinking about my Infiltrator FemShep utilizing her unique melee/stab "´Look how pretty those flowers are - and then wuahahahaha, princess stabbity, stab, kill, kill!"

No worries.
And I thought it was a "real" E3 video, so I was just happy to spot it.

But that would be boring and unfuturistic.TheKillerAngel wrote...

Besides they are using the omnitools to do it.

It could be the sentinel melee attack. Though the video is in fragments jumping from one environment to another. Im fairly certain that the same shep that "omnipunched" the soldier was throwing biotic ummm... "throws" at earlier sections of the video.
There's no one segment in the video where shepard does the omni punch and uses biotics. It's probably from different runs through the same area.

Omni-Falcon-Punch
Spelling error. It isn't "Punch", it is "PAAAWWNCH" (number of As and Ws can differate with the severity of the PAWNCH, but otherwise the central spelling construct as well as Capslock is imperative to convey the word's meaning!).

Jesse Houston said that Vanguards will have their own unique version of it, so...

Would be fun to see some footage from the gameplay of that class. Shepard probably perfected his SHEPARD PAAAAAWNCH! with the help of Miss al-Jilani and made a combat style out of it.
