You heard right. PS3 is an backward console and your lucky to even have ME2/3. So be gratefull for that and don't go over asking. We all know pc > xbox > ps3.
Why is it not on pc I hear you ask? Cause we elitist purist don't want it.

I hear it is only on 360 because the Kinect programing is doing all the work for voice recognition.

Yeah, I honestly don't believe it is that easy, as if it were, don't you think other games would be doing it?

If they wanted, yes without a doubt. There are PS2 games that have it. HOw old is the PS2? Surely someone is smart enough to make it work on PS3.

...Dude, seriously, you're getting worked up over a crappy feature that Bioware probably threw together in a very short period because Microsoft wants developers to push Kinect as much as possible?

I mean, let's be honest here, you guys got the Terminus Armor and Blackstorm for free, while those of us who weren't able to pre-order from Gamestop got nothing of the sort, and those two items (well, the Blackstorm at least) will probably get more use from actual players in ME2 than the voice recognition will in ME3.

The squad commands sounds amazing. I can care less on the dialog part. Giving commands via voice would further help immersion.

The question is: Who is going to buy Mass Effect 3 on PS3?

Me. My 360 crapped out on me months ago and there aren't enough system exclusives to justify me buying a new one.

Same here, my Xbox 360 died a month ago and I don't want to buy a 5th Xbox that will probably breakdown.

As for the motion controls or voice command not being on the PS3, I really couldn't care less. I get plenty of exercise carrying a chainsaw around at work all day, last thing I want to do is wave my arms around at the TV or yell at it for that matter.

you act as if that's a bad thing.

If you guys want to spend extra time saying stuff to your squad, or saying things so Shepard can say things, have fun.

that's if you are: 1) always speaking clearly, so that your voice commands are registered, 2) in a household that allows for constant barking of orders, 3) own a Kinect ( $150 investment ), and 4) are willing to constantly scream for Garrus to get into cover, taking more time than it would have to press a single button, or being misheard; possibly getting him killed, or sent to the wrong place.

if it does work well enough, sure, I can see people using it. . . but even then, I think you're better off just sticking with your buttons and keys; which are 100% reliable.

even though they woudl save time? I used the voice recognition in TC Ground War and knowing the kinect VR is way better I can for sure tell you that not having to navigate menus to get you team to do things will make combat quicker and more immersive. the dialogue selection is nothing really as that wont be affected speed wise but is kinda nice I guess.

and I can tell you you don't need to scream or speak that loudly. also background voices wont affect your ability to use it. I have Microsoft's Sync system in my car and I can tell my phone to make a call to someone while someone else is telling me something at the same volume level Im speaking to my car and it doesn't mess with Sync's ability to recognize what I told it.

Who cares? It's a stupid gimicky feature, anyway.

As a PS3 user (ex 360 owner) I really couldn't care less. Voice control gaming was pioneered on Sony's systems and never really caught on. It's a gimmick Microsoft are forcing BioWare to use to try and Market their Kinect system. Now don't get me wrong, Kinect is a great piece of equipment technologically, and great for party games and stuff. But shoehorning into games that really don't need it starting to get real annoying, real fast. It's half the reason I ditched Microsofts console, I could see where it was going. We managed fine so far without it, and we'll manage fine until judgement day.

I don't get it, how is that you guys had to buy more than one Xbox?
Mine just died once, it was repaired and haven't died again.
