We don't want what happened with Zaeed and Kasumi to happen again. We want full dialouge for Prothy the Prothean (or whoever the DLC squadmate will be).

Let's make Bioware aware of this.

A reminder: In the early descriptions of the CE's in-game bonuses, there was a mention of a prothean squadmate as a day-1 DLC package. This is probably ME3's version of the concept Bioware used with DAO (Shale), ME2 (Zaeed) and DA2 (Sebastian) in order to prevent second-hand purchases and rents.
The mention of the DLC squadmate was later dismissed as a "typing error", but the DLC squadmate obviously exists and will ship with the game at the day of launch.

They're aware. Apparently, making a dialogue wheel is reely reely diffikult.

I approve.
They did it for DAII, it can't be that hard now that we've got less perma squadmates.

I believe Bioware has learned from the reception and complaints of previous DLC. So i imagine there will be full dialouge for possible DLC characters.

I hope their isn't a prothean squadmate. That's just silly. "Lol, I was in stasis for the past fifty thousand years and now I'm going to help fight the Reapers."

I'm sure they'll come up with a better explantion than that. It's Bioware we are talking about. The storyline of the entire trilogy was already written before ME1 was out. At least, so I heard.

Definitely not. They intended it to be a trilogy before the first game had come out. Nothing more.

Possibly. Though I doubt it could be much different. Unless the protheans live a very long time and are real jerks who didn't want to warn the galaxy of the Reaper invasion in person. I mean, if there was a prothean around who wasn't in stasis, where has he been all this time? I doubt the Reapers would keep him prisoner.

Pepper never said anything about it not being a trilogy. He/she just said the story for the trilogy was already written before Mass Effect 1 came out. So you two basically said the same thing.

I wouldn't mind if this supposed squadmember gets the same treatment as Kasumi and Zaeed. In fact, I'd prefer it over the boring dialogue wheel.

It's not difficult to write in a semi-valid entrance for a Prothean; it has been in stasis all this time as part of some Prothean plot to assist the next bunch of species that have to deal with the Reapers, and it has just been discovered by a Salarian/Cerberus team (if Cerberus, then the recruitment mission will be rescuing the Prothean).

A well-done Prothean Character would be a real asset to the idea that the Reapers can be defeated only with galactic unity; after all, what shows unity better than working with a supposedly extinct species? Not only that, but it would offer an interesting perspective on Prothean culture and give another viewpoint on current galactic issues.
