In the Quest Traps Are a Girl's Best Friend in the town of Lthering you will find that you can resubmit the quest for 50 Silver and full experiance, there is not a limit to how often you may do this, as far as I can see, and I went to level 20.  I know that there are other "Glitches" earlier on in the game but this one gives you money and xp.

Wouldn't you have to continue to make traps? Or does she not take them away?

Great place to post spoiler and exploits, especially since you prolly copy and pasted it, figuratively or otherwise.

This thread should have been posted in the spoiler section. To post in the Spoiler Section, you must first register your game.

I highly encourage everyone to report each and every spoiler thread they see in the General Discussion as Spam(most relevant category) with the explaination text simply explaining: Spoiler thread posted in the wrong section.

Also it's best not to give the advice/help/answers the thread is requesting, it will only send the message that it is okay to continue posting spoiler threads in the wrong sections.

If i could reach through the my monitor. I'd punch every single person that has posted a spoiler in this forum.

Dragon Age: Origins General Discussion (NO SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Usually this would be a clue to most people...

Sorry OP. I don't mean just you, i understand if you are new to the forum and it's an accident but some others... they seem to go out of their way to post spoilers...

You.. are complaining about spam?

Do you let your little brother use your forum account when you're at work?

I wouldn't call this a spoiler. A spoiler would be more something to do with the story. This is just a cheat that is the result of a bug. I highly doubt that reading this post will significantly ruin anyone's enjoyment of the game. That said, this info probably would be better to post in the tech support forum.

It doesnt seems to be able to get this quest in v1.02a if you do not have anyone with Trap Making skills.

You're not supposed to be able to get it unless someone in your party can make traps. Don't talk to the girl who gives the quest until you have someone in your party with the traps skill.

I accidentally talked to her a second time yesterday, and I thought "Wait a minute. I can do this again?" I thought it would be a nice sorce of income, and then I noticed that I was getting experience points too; so I kept it up until Alistar could wear the Blood Dragon Armor. That was fun, and about 600 gold coins too!!!

Heh..I'd never run into this until just my last playthrough.

I was rather bemused by it all..couldn't resist exploiting it a little, but I left after only having collected 30 gold sovereigns.

You know, if you feel so much inclined to exploit then you could just open you save in editor and simply add, oh I don't know, 170000 k experience (should get you to lvl 17-18 or there abouts), or add even more. Simple and one time thing instead of standing there in the game for a long time and raising your money and XP by 50s/50xp at a time, for a long time, clicking like a lunatic. Why waste time on that when there are easier ways, since you "cheated", so to say, anyway? :)

This thing i'm never able to decide... Is this is a glitch or an intended thing? You can make unlimited money even by selling lyrium potions... is that a glitch or intended?

You can get unlimited xp by supplying allied crates... is that a glitch or is it intended?

Ofcourse, the attribute exploit in the fade seems to be a "glitch"....

I really don't know whether to use these... or not.... game becomes too easy even on nightmare mode with use of any exploit... especially the attribute exploit...

This is a glitch.

It's an exploit.

The price for lyrium potions was set on both a buy/sell level, so that much was intended. Players eventually noticed that you can make a heavy profit -- more so if playing a DN and selling to Gorim -- by stocking up on the unlimited items certain vendors sell that creates Potent Lyrium Potions.

The devs always intended certain vendors to have an unlimited supply of certain alchemical reagents. Players noticed this, noticed the above about the lyrium potions, and simply put two and two together to make 2200 sovereigns.

It's an exploit.

Of course it's a bug. Silly to think it isn't. If that was what was intended, the poison quest would also be repeatable. Also, there would probably be a different comment for the subsequent turn ins if there were meant to be subsequent turn ins.

I never did fix it, mainly because people do love their glitches and exploits.

Actually, didn't Bioware attempt to fix it in one of the patches?

If you're on the PC, then enabling the console, opening it and typing zz_money with a number following will give you all the cash you could ever want. Or you could finish the 'Golems of Amgarrak' and start each new game with the stick of sovereign summoning (my solution).
