I don't think we should be able to directly control the Normandy in space combat, but a sequence where Shep is giving orders in the cockpit and then we watch those orders executed would be absolutely badass.

indeed.

OP: I agree with the first four but strongly disagree with the last. If Bioware needs to show frontal or rear nudity in order for the scene to be tasteful they should do it. I see the big deal between a male chest and a female chest aside from "society says so." And people have been looking at male asses since they were no more than 5 since back in the 90's and 80's showing a boy's butt in cartoons was the equivelant of the greatest joke ever, what is the problem with showing a female character's butt?

I don't want full-on hardcore porn that would make people barf, but if Bioware needs to show some nudity in order to make a scene tasteful they should have the ability to do so.

Because IMHO they are ridiculous and do not fit the game. And because I prefer killing with "regular" weapons..just much more fun.

And they suck because?

The idea of elite marine bringing super big uber weapon on his back for a mission is ridiculous.

Only Cain is big uber heavy weapon.

Heavy weapons are already there, it would take effort (however miniscule) to remove them when it would take none to leave them in.  It seems rather pointless to remove them because some people don't like the aesthetics.

They are? Good to know you are on the BioWare team, then.
You do realize they have to be reworked if they are to be present in ME3? Enhancing sound effects alone will take a lot of resources.

And no, at least as far as the game goes, there is almost never one "right" decision.  Paragon/Renegade is not right/wrong (or wrong/right) in any situation, but especially the big choice situations.  The choice should make you think, not pick the obvious option.

I am not talking about Renegade/Paragon. But getting rewarded for all your decisions is pretty lame.

Also why do you want to remove heavy weapons? They're not using same slot as rest of weapons.

But they annoy me when I am forced to look at them for the whole game. It's a simple toggle. If you like it - take it, and enjoy, if you don't like it - why should you be forced to take it?

It's the same with a helmet toggle. Takes almost no efford to include it, and will make a few players happy. In my view it's pointless to deny this, since this miniscule effort is one well spent.

In the very beginning of ME2 you don't carry a heavy weapon if only for a minute or so until you pick up the grenade launcher. The option is already there, the only thing that the game lacks is the possibilty to choose it.

This is borderline smudboy nitpicking.

How the hell does that annoy you?! Don't you have like enemies to shoot?

Also that's a weapon! How can you toggle on and off that?!

Have you not seen the E3 demo?  Heavy weapons are there, now.  Chances are they have already done the stuff required to update them.  There was an interview with a sound guy a while back where they showed off some of the new sounds.  I don't know, but it is a reasonable assumption.

I think it is fair to say that people who want the helmet toggle FAR outnumber the people who want to remove heavy weapons.  It's really not a fair comparison.

OK, I can play that game too:

How the hell does it NOT annoy you?!
I just don't like them, for me they are redundant and I'd rather not have them on my back all the time.

And yes, it's a weapon, but whether you are forced to fill the "heavy weapon" slot or not is a simple toggle YES/NO.

RE: choices and punishment, I agree that the paragon/renegade choices should not have consequences on the difficulty of the game, I think the effects of these choices should be shown in the story as it unfolds.
However, I very much believe that players who chose to kill off their squad in ME2 by not upgrading the ship should maybe have a bit of a harder time as a result. Lets face it, a Shep that goes and takes on the collectors without upgrading their ship or inspiring the respect of their team is a bit of a fool and taking on the reapers with a reduced squad should be their punishment.

Yes, I have.

I am asking for simple toggle option, while you are enforcing your opinion.
That's like me saying "ALL classes must carry ALL weapons..because you know, the weapons are in the game..so you better use them". Seriously, think about it.

Because I'm paying attention what's happening in combat then to care about what I have on my back maybe?

Why don't we also put toggle Yes/No for every other weapon in Mass Effect 3?

No. And I still don't know. lol

And what other weapon makes big explosion but Cain?

well I don't see the problem with being able to select none with heavy weapons not really hard thing to implement and it would make people enjoy the game more for it.

as to nudity I don't see much request for gratuitous nudity, mostly i just see people wanting it to be more like me1 (which imo were biowares better love scenes) than the me2 da2 style scenes.

I don't know about you, but when I play on the computer, I see the whole display. Not just a part of it. So even in fights, I still see that crappy weapon on my back. And it annoys me.

Why don't we also put toggle Yes/No for every other weapon in Mass Effect 3?

I'd like that. And since they said there are no restrictions this time around, you'll likely have X slots (depending on class) and you will be able to fill them with whatever weapons you want.

I said nothing about big explosions. Some "heavy" weapons are worse than regular weapons. I simply don't like carrying unnecessary crap on my back...all the time. And in addition, some weapons are either ugly (Collector Particle Beam) or over the top (Cain - ok I enjoyed firing it a couple of times..then it got boring).

Well yeah, but that isn't really disproportionate.  Killing off your squad means that they're dead.  That's not really a punishment so much as a nod to reality.  I was referring to choice like the Rachni queen or the Collector base.  No punishments, just different outcomes.  Maybe have each contain pros and cons.

I need to jump into this. It is an RPG and some players like to customize how Shepard looks. If they don't want the thing on their back then they should be able to remove it. It can still stay in the inventory...just not physically on Shepard.

Heavy weapons should definently be a toggle...
I don't use them, the only useful one is the Cain, they take up space on Shepard, they get in the way during cutscenes (except flamethrower), it is a pain to reload them, they do crap for damage, they are situational.
Why should I be forced to wear something that I will never use just because it is available?

I want my decisions to really matter!!!! I do not want to be able to have a happily ever situation at every single mission I partake in because the game ahs to progress. Give me some negative feedback for choosing oen of the options. I would rather complain about a playthrough in which I messed up in my decision then be contented in a game where my choices do not matter. And hell, If you hate losing anything then you can just METAGAME the first two games to get a perfect situation playthrough, I am doing one of those myself right now.

For the Record, I want better sex scenes. Say no to Clothed Sex! I do not care whether or not I see some nasty bits...I just want to know that they are not wearing clothes...Hell if it just showed the clothes being thrown off the bed then a fade to black I will be fine with them. My personal wish is a return to the ME1 sex scenes;they have great taste, are mature and believable. Best Sex Scene of any game i have ever played (this includes Witcher 2, that one is rediculous).

Whatever, I'm finished arguing about something that was more of a pet peeve than a real complaint.  The only reason I listed it first was because I thought of it first.

And no, this does not mean you're right, I'm just tired of discussing it.  It does seem that people are harping on that one point though.  Odd.

I still don't understand why would you force all the players to carry a heavy weapon, but not carrying (for example) a Sniper Rifle is fine?

well, since we can choose our weapons freely, the game will essentially do that.

And a good soldier only carries what he really needs. I haven't used a heavy weapon in ages.

And really?

ML-77 Missile Launcher, M-490 Blackstorm and Arc Projector are for you either useless and/or ugly and/or over the top?

Also M-451 Firestorm is barley noticeable, like ever.

But if it's not on their back and the player switches to the heavy weapon, where would it come from? Lol. A large backpack that they're carrying? If toggling is allowed, it might as well be that toggling heavy weapon usage in missions in general should be encouraged. It wouldn't be visually appeasing if a weapon just came out of no where. Especially if it's a big weapon. That would be going back to the early 2000's for games like Halo 1 and 2 where pulling weapons out of thin air was a thing.

Again, for you, perhaps. I've said it many times over..I do not like carrying unnecessary crap with me throughout the game. Simple as that. You really do not have to name every heavy weapon to convince me. I tried them all. I don't like any of them.

2.  As a follow-up to that: the ability to choose no weapons at all on biotic and tech classes.  Who really wants to spam powers the entire time?  Especially biotics, whose only damaging power is warp.  Adepts would become even more about "warp spam" than before, or would rely on their squaddies to actually kill enemies.

I would like to go weaponless.  Remember also that Adepts had more than just one damaging power in ME.  It was ME2 that nerfed biotics so badly.

4.  Punishing a style of play disproportionately to the decisions made.  I'm all for consequences, and I'd be pissed if there wasn't some kind of difference based on choices, but the game should still be completable regardless.  Each choice should have rippling effects, but not change the likelihood of winning.  For instance, saving the Rachni should have some kind of bonus.  Likewise, killing the Rachni should have some kind of bonus.  Different, but no punishments.

In general I agree, but your example makes me disagree.  You've offered a choice between two bonuses.  Why not a choice between a bonus and the lack of that bonus?  One would potentially make the game easier compared to the other, but neither would make the game impossible.

Having the consequences of my choices basically not matter isn't a good thing.
