Hello everyone,

I wanted to bring a bug to Bioware's attention.. although conversations and cutscenes with npcs were fixed in the patch (Thanks a lot!), another issue has come up.. For people playing the game at extremely high resolutions spanning across multiple monitors (e.g. 5760x1080), objects in the distance disappear and re-appear as the camera is panned around.

For example, at the camp site before you set out on the grand aventure, simply panning around the surroundings makes trees and foliage disappear.

Grass gone -

I've really been itching to play this game in ultra widescreen, but I can't if trees are disappearing in front of my character's path.. very distracting..

No settings I can change make any difference, though if I run it at 1920x1080, they are rendered correctly and stay put.

edit: If I run in 3x1 portrait mode, at 3240x1920 the foliage and trees do not disappear.. so it appears to have something to do with the extreme horizontal resolution..

Also experiencing this problem. Very noticeable, particularly in places like the Wilds or even in the Denermi Alienage, where the Alienage tree will disappear entirely when I'm close to it.

If there was, it hasn't been pushed out as a patch. DA:O is still broken in Eyefinity resolutions for me, at least.

Bioware,

I did NOT buy Dragon Age II.

When I purchased Dragon Age I, Bioware had just announced compatibility with eyefinity.
But it never worked right... and the latest patches for Dragon Age I still don't display properly
using eyefinity resolutions. Here is a video of the problem:
The disappearing objects issue happens when using the mouse to look around, and when moving when outdoors.
Trees, rocks, etc.. will disappear and re-appear.  It totally ruins the game.   I'm guessing this is FOV related.

If you ever properly fix Dragon Age I and II to work with eyefinity such that the "disappearing objects" problem is solved, then I will buy.

But until that happens, I will not purchase your games... as I know they won't work right using my eyefinity rig.

There are many that feel as I do. I hope you listen.

Fix the eyefinity problems with Dragons Age (all versions) please.

Dragon Age 2 works perfectly in eyefinity resolution but Dragon Age Origins still has problems even with the ultimate edition

As suggested in the stickies, I've contacted the official EA support about this problem, but no dice -

"I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. After reviewing your request the situation seems to be more game play related rather than something we can resolve through technical troubleshooting or adjustments to your account details. I suggest that you may post a bug report on this matter on the official forums of the games. These forums are reviewed by the game "Production Team" and "Game Development Team". By posting on the forums, you will be able to direct your report to the appropriate department. They will review your feedback and take appropriate actions."

Bioware are telling us to contact EA. EA are telling us to contact Bioware, and that apparently by posting here we can make them aware of the issue - however as there are threads on this dating back a year or more and still no fix, it appears Bioware simply doesn't care now their new cash cow is out and mooing.
