I just started playing this game again after my stent in a insane isylum, so for a dual-wielding Rogue that uses straight daggers what should I put my skill points/talents in? I kind of understand 20str/XX dex/XX cun.

you need 36dex, 16 cun... dump the rest in str/con(mine has about 60 base str I think), use rose's thorn and a T7 crows dagger. Pickup wardens chest and red jenny seekers also use assassin mark of death on elite/boss mobs. Backstabbing with daggers for 90+ is awesome. The fact you can wear massive armor while doing it and still having over 110 defense is icing on the cake.

Errr, doesn't dex influence dagger damage more? stat-wise, you just specced a dw warrior using 2 full sized weapons.

It should if it was working as intended, but it is not.  Even then, Dex would only split the damage with the STR bonus, (getting a half point from each as opposed to a full point from STR like every other melee weapon), not add on top of it.  Its designed to keep Daggers viable for a dex based fighter, not to make them somehow superior in damage.  The reason to use daggers comes down to weapon speed, and stat synergy, not damage.

There are unoficcial hotfixes to address the dagger dex issue (if youre on a pC), and an official fix is in the works.

Big bummer, I've heard of the dex gimp about daggers, or it's contribution to it, but didn't know it was for that. I personally haven't noticed, being on a warrior most of the time, wasn't sure what to expect out of rogue in terms of a standard. This is interesting news.

Well, like I said, if you're on PC, you can download the hotfix to address the dex issue with daggers. I dont have a link, but some searching should turn it up. Even without, a high Cunning +Lethality makes for a perfectly viable Dual dagger build.
